DEAD LETTER OPENER

Formed in early 2005 in Brisbane, Australia. DEAD LETTER OPENER met whilst they were studying music and technology at a Brisbane University, and initially formed the group to complete a recording project imperative to two of the members studies. The potential of becoming a full-time was realised almost immediately and DLO set out to finalise their debut EP and secure national distribution for it. Managing to record and produce the entire EP as a band with help from a friend from University, who is now their full-time live sound engineer...

Defamer

Conceived in early 2006, Defamer are a five-piece Death Metal band based in Brisbane who draw influence from most facets of extreme metal, though mainly death and black. In March/April of 2007 they recorded a four song demo with MKH (Carbon, Astriaal), which was then mastered by Aphotic Mote (Portal) and are now looking forward to recording and releasing a full length album at some point in 2008. The new full length album is called chasm, and has already been recorded.

Anguish

There are many bands with the name Anguish. These include: 1. A Swedish doom metal band influenced by <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Candlemass" class="bbcode_artist">Candlemass</a>. Released their debut album Through the Archdemon's Head on Dark Descent Records in early 2012. <a href="http://www.myspace.com/anguishdoommetal" rel="nofollow">http://www.myspace.com/anguishdoommetal</a> 2. A 5-piece deathcore band from the North-West coast of Tasmania formed in 2009 influenced by the likes of <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/The+Red+Shore" class="bbcode_artist">The Red Shore</a>, <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Whitechapel" class="bbcode_artist">Whitechapel</a> and <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Thy+Art+Is+Murder" class="bbcode_artist">Thy Art Is Murder</a>. Absu

There are 2 bands named Absu. 1. American esoteric black metal band with a sound informed both by thrash and death metal. Formed in Plano, Texas in 1989, the band's name was originally Dolmen but this was soon changed to Absu, drawing thematic influence from middle-eastern and celtic mythology they recorded four albums and an EP from 1993 to 2001. After the release of Tara in 2001 the band was put on hiatus as guitarist and bassist Equitant Ifernain and Shaftiel departed, citing musical differences and disinterest in the band, respectively.

The Wiggles

The Wiggles are a children's pop musical group formed in Sydney, Australia in 1991. Their original members were Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page, Jeff Fatt and Phillip Wilcher. In 2006, Page was forced to retire from the group due to illness and was replaced by understudy Sam Moran. Field and Fatt were members of the Australian pop band <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/The+Cockroaches" class="bbcode_artist">The Cockroaches</a> in the 1980s, and Cook was a member of several bands before meeting Field and Page at Macquarie University, where they were studying to become pre-school teachers.

Dyscarnate

The UK’s Dyscarnate play their own unique breed of intense, blistering death metal. After devastating venues across the UK, they have become a force to be reckoned with on the frontline of the British death metal scene.
Following the release of their debut EP ‘Annihilate to Liberate’ in 2008, Dyscarnate were met with overwhelming feedback from national magazines, record labels and fans alike. This resulted in a multi-album deal with the UK’s Siege Of Amida Records for Europe and Candlelight Records for the US/Canada.

Blood Duster

Blood Duster are a five piece grind/death/stoner rock band from Melbourne, Australia, known for their fast and heavy musical style. The band are currently enjoying some semi-mainstream success after their self-titled Blood Duster album and an appearance at the annual Big Day Out festival. The band's first offering, Yeest, was a straightforward grindcore album. The follow up album, Str8 Outta Northcote was a southern-flavored stoner rock album. The band's third album, Cunt was a more intense and true-to-its-roots offering, with rhythmic bluesy metal guitars and heavy drumwork.

Deprivation

There are more than one artist sharing the name "Deprivation": 1. Hardcore band from Rhode Island.

Fresh from the country surrounds of Orange NSW, this 5 piece metal band have developed a particular brand of heavy music which has earned them many supports alongside some of the biggest names in Aussie metal.
Their mix of raw unbridled aggression and melodic sensibilities has seen this young band quickly gain industry attention, and most importantly support and praise from their peers.

Harm

There is more than one musician called Harm: 1. Harm an Gangsta Rap artist hailing from the S.F. Bay area. 2. Harm is a Drum & Bass producer signed on Gain Records. 3. Harm is a thrash-metal band from Mandal, Norway. The band was formed in 1997 by singer/bassplayer Steffan Schulze. After some some line-up changes, an unofficial demo with their material was released in 2003. They recorded their first official single "Harm" in Verdenzromme studios (2003). Good response both to the CD and live performance, resulted in a new recording, released as "Unleashed" in 2004.

Beyond Terror Beyond Grace

Forming in 2004, Beyond Terror Beyond Grace play a unique blend of Scandinavian influenced- grindcore, black metal, ambient and atmospheric death metal. Since their formation the band has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the metal world including Carcass, Obituary, The Black Dahlia Murder and Pig Destroyer, played shows across Australia on multiple occasions including an Australian tour in February 2010 with New Zealand’s Ulcerate and released two albums; Extinction|Salvation in 2007, and Our Ashes Built Mountains in March 2010.
