Formed in early 2005 in Brisbane, Australia. DEAD LETTER OPENER met whilst they were studying music and technology at a Brisbane University, and initially formed the group to complete a recording project imperative to two of the members studies. The potential of becoming a full-time was realised almost immediately and DLO set out to finalise their debut EP and secure national distribution for it. Nasum was a grindcore band from Örebro, Sweden. The band was formed during the later part of 1992 by Anders Jakobson (guitar) and Rickard Alriksson (drums/vocals) as a sideproject to the death metal band Necrony. The idea was to create true grindcore in the vein of old Napalm Death. Spring 1993: Necrony's homelabel, German Poserslaughter Records offered Nasum to share a 7" EP with Australian goregrinders Blood Duster. Nasum accepted the offer, but in time the record turned out to be a Nasum/Agathocles split-7" EP.

Malignant Monster

Malignant Monster is raw, cutting-edge, blood-soaked, blackened thrash metal from Perth, Western Ausralia. Malignant Monster entered the metal world with the release of their, independently distributed, 2003 demo “Welcome to Your Doom”. Despite the fact that they were only a two-piece, used a drum machine, didn’t record bass and had never played live, Malignant Monster began to attract a large underground fanbase and their raw home-demo received an overwhelming response from international metal media.

Macabre

There are two entries for this name. 1. Macabre are a pioneering death metal band from the USA. They were formed in 1985 in Chicago, Illinois, and ever since have never had a line-up change. They blend thrash metal, death metal and grindcore to form their own unique style dubbed Murder Metal. Oddly enough, although being one of the first bands ever to play death metal, their influence is not as far reaching as one would think.
