Hypocrisy

The Swedish <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/death%20metal" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">death metal</a> band Hypocrisy was formed by <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Peter+T%C3%A4gtgren" class="bbcode_artist">Peter T&auml;gtgren</a> in 1990 upon his return to Sweden from Florida, where he had been inspired by that state's flourishing death metal scene (bands like <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Morbid+Angel" class="bbcode_artist">Morbid Angel</a>, <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Deicide" class="bbcode_artist">Deicide</a>, <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Death" class="bbcode_artist">Death</a> and <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Obituary" class="bbcode_artist">Obituary</a>). Hypocrisy's first demo was recorded entirely by Tägtgren himself; once it secured him a record deal, he recruited a lineup of <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Masse+Broberg" class="bbcode_artist">Masse Broberg</a> (Vocals), <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Jonas+%C3%96sterberg" class="bbcode_artist">Jonas &Ouml;sterberg</a> (Guitar), <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Mikael+Hedlund" class="bbcode_artist">Mikael Hedlund</a> (Bass) and <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Lars+Sz%C3%B6ke" class="bbcode_artist">Lars Sz&ouml;ke</a> (Drums), while he himself settled on guitar.

Vanity

1. Denise Katrina Matthews (born January 4, 1959), better known as Vanity but sometimes credited as Denise Matthews-Smith or D.D. Winters, is a Canadian-born singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, model, and full-time preacher. She was the lead singer for the Prince-mentored female trio Vanity 6, which recorded the 1982 R&B hit "Nasty Girl". Matthews formally gave up her stage name "Vanity" and became a born-again Christian in 1994, the year she almost died from the effects of snorting cocaine.

www.stryfe.am Stryfe is a female fronted progressive metal band formed in 2003. The music of "Stryfe" includes roots of Armenian national, classic music and different kinds of metal influences filled in with melodious operatic and clean female vocal parts.
Name "Stryfe" came from the word "strife" which means a struggle, a struggle against a human harm, hatred and insidiousness what are sung almost in all songs.

Morbid Angel

Morbid Angel is a Tampa, Florida, United States-based death metal band assembled in 1984. They, along with Deicide, Death, Possessed, Autopsy, Suffocation, Obituary, Massacre and a handful of others were crucial in the development of the death metal genre and its standards. Their songs are complex in arrangement, owing to the considerable technical skills of both guitarist Trey Azagthoth and drummer Pete Sandoval (who also played in the grindcore/death metal band Terrorizer).

There are at least six bands called Absolution: (1) a New York hardcore band; (2) a Los Angeles metal band; (3) a death metal band from Warwickshire, UK; and (4) a metal band from Manchester/Warrington, UK. (5) a heavy rock/metal band from Staffordshire, UK; and (6) a deathcore quintet from Australia. 1) Absolution was a hardcore band from New York City. Formed in early 1987, Absolution was made up of a diverse group of individuals.

Six Feet Under

There are at least four groups called Six Feet Under (+ two '6 Feet Under')

1) Six Feet Under (USA) is a death metal band with heavy rock influences on some of their albums. Originally a side project for Cannibal Corpse vocalist Chris Barnes and former Obituary guitarist Allen West, Six Feet Under eventually became a full-time proposition when friction between Barnes and his other bandmates became too much to bear.

Leprosy

There are three bands with this name. Leprosy from Mexico which was active with the Ex lead singer of the band Transmetal "Pimentel." Leprosy from the Paul Green School of Rock in Downingtown, PA. and Als, and finally Leprosy; a punk band from Melbourne Australia playing in the style of UK82 such as Disorder and Finnish punk such as KAAOS. Leprosy from PA have a sound very similar to Cannibal Corpse's, albeit the vocals are not quite as strong. The general song content is similar.

Unearthly

There are 2 or 3 bands that share this name: #1. One of the most notorious black metal bands hailing from Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Unearthly was established by the end of 1998, with M. Mictian on bass and Lord Thoth on guitars and vocals.
Their first demo, "Blessed are the Destroyers of False Hope", was released in june 2000, and the second one, "Living Under the Sign of Blasphemy" was launched a little over one year afterwards in august 2001. Both works had good acceptance within the scene and received good reviews, which guaranteed them many concerts in their native country.

Gojira

1) Gojira is a progressive death metal band from Bayonne, France. Their lyrics focus on life, ecology, and spiritual themes. They were formed in 1996 by brothers Joe Duplantier (vocals and lead guitar) and Mario Duplantier (drums), Christian Andreu (guitar) and Jean-Michel Labadie (bass guitar). They had initially named their group Godzilla, but due to legal constraints had to change their name. They therefore chose to re-name their band Gojira - the original Japanese version of their name (in Japanese Gojira means gorilla-whale or gorilla the size of a whale).

The Day Everything Became Nothing

The Day Everything Became Nothing is a Goregrind band from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in Melbourne in 2002, The Day Everything Became Nothing continues to deliver extreme percussive grind that is characterised by its dirty, muddy sound. The band's name is derived from the EP of the same name by Canadian punk rock band NoMeansNo. The remarkably guttural vocals, by aid of a pitch-shifting Whammy pedal, are done by Tony Forde, of Blood Duster notoriety, but the band originally featured Kody Abrams.
