www.stryfe.am Stryfe is a female fronted progressive metal band formed in 2003. The music of "Stryfe" includes roots of Armenian national, classic music and different kinds of metal influences filled in with melodious operatic and clean female vocal parts.
Name "Stryfe" came from the word "strife" which means a struggle, a struggle against a human harm, hatred and insidiousness what are sung almost in all songs.
Hailing from Brisbane (Australia), Nefaria is the epic hard hitting metal result of years of hard work and musical dedication. Following the demise of previous projects, guitarist Pete and bass player Brett continued to work on writing and sharpening their existing material. The search began for like-minded musos to start a new project and with the arrival of Adam on drums and Dave (aka Neckbeard) on vocals, Nefaria was born.
Lamb of God is an American metal band, originally formed under the name Burn the Priest. The roots of Lamb of God were planted in the year 1990, when Mark Morton, Chris Adler and John Campbell were bros at Virginia Commonwealth University. The trio began playing at Adler's house in Richmond weathering chilly conditions. "There was no heat in the house," recalls Campbell. "We would hang around the kerosene heaters, get really drunk and write metal songs. Fumes and Black Label beer were definitely what fueled our early days."
Originally under the name Hysterias Canvas back in mid 07' as a 4 piece, the band were quick to write a 4 track after their first live show played in Mackay. With the main influence being hardcore and metalcore the 4 track Demo was well recieved and sold out within the month. With the addition of Jason-Dean on guitar, the bands sound was now moreso capable of creating deeper sounds and heavier riffs which naturally progressed the groups sound and maturity towards music writing.
1) Gojira is a progressive death metal band from Bayonne, France. Their lyrics focus on life, ecology, and spiritual themes. They were formed in 1996 by brothers Joe Duplantier (vocals and lead guitar) and Mario Duplantier (drums), Christian Andreu (guitar) and Jean-Michel Labadie (bass guitar). They had initially named their group Godzilla, but due to legal constraints had to change their name. They therefore chose to re-name their band Gojira - the original Japanese version of their name (in Japanese Gojira means gorilla-whale or gorilla the size of a whale).

Children of Bodom is a Finnish band from the city of Espoo, near Helsinki. The name of the band comes from one of the most famous Finnish murder cases of all time. (The murdering of three teenagers one night at Lake Bodom back in the 60's.) Early Children of Bodom albums are inspired by classical music and death metal (Red Light in My Eyes pt. 1 starts with a line from J.S. Bach's Invention No.13 in A minor and Red Light in My Eyes pt.

Taking their name from the subject of so many glorious battles in J.R.R Tolkiens master piece, Bane of Isildur has moved from strength to strength with a sold out debut EP, a demo out in 2009 and full-length album due for release in 2010. Uniquely, Bane of Isildur's performance remains technical and melodic while remaining full of a fury rarely seen in today's age of heavy metal.
Opeth is a progressive metal band from Sweden that is influenced by many diverse musical styles ranging from jazz, 1970s progressive rock, death metal, and blues. Their recent releases have deviated from their traditional death metal influenced style, with more emphasis on progressive elements. Vocalist Mikael Åkerfeldt is also noted for utilizing both clean singing and death growls, often in the same track.
