Infected

There is more than one band called Infected. 1. Infected is a band from Sinzig, Germany, who defines their style as modern death metal. Up to now the 5 friends released one EP titled "Coma". The Line-Up consists of Nico Kaden (vocals), Marcel Sonnenberg (guitar), Christoph Mönch (drums), Marcel Pinger (bass) and Malte Müller (guitar). Infected was founded in 2004 but a few changes in the line-up were to follow. But since 2005 the current line-up has not been changed except for Malte Müller, who joined the band in 2008.

In Flames

In Flames is a Swedish alternative metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990. The band's earlier work is considered to be a major influence to the melodic death metal music genre, although they have distanced themselves from the melodic death metal sound. Since the band's conception in 1990, they have received numerous awards and released nine studio albums and one live DVD. The band has enjoyed increased popularity in recent years, both in its native Sweden and internationally. As of 2008, In Flames has sold over two million records worldwide.

Soilwork

Soilwork is a swedish melodic death metal band formed in late 1995, originally under the name Inferior Breed in Helsingborg, Sweden. In 1996, they changed their name to Soilwork to better fit their new sound. Their unique sound is a fusion of the classic gothenburg metal sound with power-groove riffs of late 1970s, early 1980s British, and European metal, but in their most recent albums they have also introduced elements from American alternative metal and adopted a more melodic attitude.

Hypocrisy

The Swedish <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/death%20metal" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">death metal</a> band Hypocrisy was formed by <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Peter+T%C3%A4gtgren" class="bbcode_artist">Peter Tägtgren</a> in 1990 upon his return to Sweden from Florida, where he had been inspired by that state's flourishing death metal scene (bands like <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Morbid+Angel" class="bbcode_artist">Morbid Angel</a>, <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Deicide" class="bbcode_artist">Deicide</a>, <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Death" class="bbcode_artist">Death</a> and <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Obituary" class="bbcode_artist">Obituary</a>). Fiend

1) Fiend is a melodic death metal band from Moscow, Russia. The band was formed in December 2007, its members are:
Leos - vocals, guitars
Glum - guitars
Podpol - bass
DW - drums
On the 30th of January, 2009 the first album "The Blooming Tremble" was released. Its style may be determined as modern melodic death metal reminiscent of later In Flames works.
Even though the band is young, Fiend has already managed to perform on one stage with such famous band as Pain.

There are two bands that go by the name Hung: 1: Hung is an Extreme Progressive Metal band from the United States. The violinist Lyris Hung gives the name to this band which is quite an original mixture of melodic death and black with progressive elements, plus the unusual addition of a electric violin. 2: Hung was a high school band formed by Chad, Jordan, Mark, and Dan. The Haunted

There is more then one artist that goes by this name. The Haunted is a Swedish heavy metal band, formed in 1996 in Gothenburg, Sweden. The original members were Patrik Jensen (also member of Witchery) (guitar), Jonas Björler (bass), Adrian Erlandsson (drums), Anders Björler (guitar), and Peter Dolving (vocals). Both of the Björler brothers and Erlandsson were members of seminal melodic death metal band At the Gates, a pioneering force in the Swedish death metal scene.
