Cold Chisel produced the canonical example of Australian pub rock, with a string of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and they are acknowledged as one of the most popular and successful Australian groups of the period, although this success and acclaim was almost completely restricted to Australia. The band formed in Adelaide in 1973 as a heavy metal band called Orange around keyboard player Don Walker and original bassist Les Kascmarek and while hard rock remained at the core of their sound Cold Chisel displayed a remarkable versatility.

Hailing from Brisbane (Australia), Nefaria is the epic hard hitting metal result of years of hard work and musical dedication. Following the demise of previous projects, guitarist Pete and bass player Brett continued to work on writing and sharpening their existing material. The search began for like-minded musos to start a new project and with the arrival of Adam on drums and Dave (aka Neckbeard) on vocals, Nefaria was born.
TaikOz is a percussion - largely taiko - ensemble based in Sydney, Australia. The ensemble was founded in 1997 by <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Ian+Cleworth" class="bbcode_artist">Ian Cleworth</a> and shakuhachi dai-shihan, grand master <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Riley+Lee" class="bbcode_artist">Riley Lee</a>. The group now features eight performers, all exponents of wadaiko, or Japanese drumming. TaikOz performs year-round, as well as providing classes to interested members of the public. The ensemble has released three CDs: Taiko No Sekai, Live At Angel Place (a live recording, also released on DVD) and Daichi... Big Earth.
