Stone Parade

The voicemail is simple "Just past the laundromat then turn left, you'll hear us when you get there". Alex is a man of few words. Inside a poorly lit factory, behind walls of guitars, old paintings and broken amps I find drummer Billy Handley hanging out his washing and cleaning up dirty dishes which have been left on the sink against his wishes. He's not a happy camper as his sign above the sink clearly states "Wash up your own stuff morons!" You see...

Immersion

There are at least 2 bands: 1) IMMERSION is an unassuming female fronted Melbourne-based four piece original rock band. Don't let their demure demeanor fool you - IMMERSION's sound is heavy and dynamic yet extremely infectious, and springs from a unique blend of big guitar sounds and driving rhythms. The development of IMMERSION's sound can be partly attributed to the influences consumed regularly in their staple rock diet, which includes big helpings of international acts such as the Foo Fighters and Tool, and lashings of local rock acts such as the Superjesus, Full Scale and Karnivool.

Benjalu

Thriving and following the steps of independent acts before them, benjalu is a band that prides themselves on the old school approach of constant touring to promote their music. Since their formation in 2006 the Newcastle based roots-rock outfit have made the most of their successes. In 2007 benjalu concentrated on playing every week, mainly focussing on shows in their hometown.
