Inside The Whale was founded in the Danish town Aarhus back in 1991. At that time most of the members had already played together in the band “It's It” for about two years.
Inside The Whale was in the finals of the “DM I Rock” (Danish Championship for rock bands) in both 1992 and 1993.
The “DM I Rock” 1993 was exceptional that year, as this final also featured two other great bands Dizzy Mizz Lizzy and Kashmir.
Devo is an <a href="http://www.last.fm/place/united%20states">American</a> <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/rock" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">rock</a> group formed in Akron, Ohio, United States in 1972. The band split in 1991 and returned in 1996. The band currently consists of Gerald Casale (vocals, bass), Mark Mothersbaugh (vocals, synthesizer), Bob Mothersbaugh (guitar), Bob Casale (guitar, keyboards) and Josh Freese (drums). Turbonegro (known as Turboneger in Norway) is a Norwegian punk rock band from Oslo, formed in 1989. The band describes themselves as "death punk." The band started with Thomas Seltzer (the bassist, Happy-Tom as he is also called) setting up a band with some friends, called Akutt Innleggelse. They played some local concerts, and made an EP, including 3 songs, "CIA/KGB", "Supertstjerne" and "Lovesong", written by Thomas. The EP was named "Echoes From the Asylum". The cover art is a drawing of a skeleton, which Thomas found in his mothers book about the Scottish psychologist R.
Noiseworks was an Australian rock band that formed in Sydney in 1985. The lineup of Noiseworks was Jon Stevens (lead vocals), Stuart Fraser (guitar), Steve Balbi (bass), Justin Stanley (keyboards) and Kevin Nicol (drums). Considered to be one of Australia's more successful rock bands of the late 1980s, their self-titled debut in 1987 had a series of successful singles, such as "No Lies," "Take Me Back," and "Welcome to the World.

1) Bahamas is Afie Jurvanen, and for the last many years he's been playing other people's music-- PasoMino, Great Lake Swimmers, The Stills, Howie Beck, Amy Millan, Jason Collett, Hayden and zeus. He's spent the last few years playing piano and guitar with Feist. He walks with a strange and haunted gait, due to a horrible knee injury suffered while on tour, and it's rumored that this might be what led to the appalling "shorts on stage" incident. No photos of the crime have surfaced and the indie rock police are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Powered by a steady musical diet of old time country legends and modern day guitar bands, Ben Blakeney is the skilful master and commander of Perth ex-pats Jack On Fire. The core of the band have a rich history, with Blakeney, Samantha Wass (acoustic guitar/keys/accordian) and Dave Thikerttle-Watts (bass) having played together in eight piece West coast dreamy popsters, Institut Polaire. Jack On Fire is completed by Wass' old friend George Hyde, a fellow country music aficionado, and superb guitarist.
There are three bands with the name Aslan. The first is Aslan, is a a rock band from Dublin, Ireland. Formed in the mid-late 80's. The band features Christy Dignam (Vocals), Joe Jewel (Guitar), Tony McGuinness (Bass), Billy McGuinness (Harmonica, Keyboards, Percussion, Guitar) and Alan Downey (drums). Over the course of their career Aslan have played many different styles of music, ranging from pop, acoustic rock, rock etc. The band are also known as one of the hardest working bands in Ireland, playing (generally) at least one gig a week.
MOTO stands for Masters Of The Obvious. Pretty much it's Paul and whoever is playing with him at the time. Some people think Paul's lyrics are too dirty but most people think they are funny. MOTO write songs that are catchy. That's all that really matters. It all got started in the early 80's in New Orleans. But then Paul moved somewhere else. MOTO have released dozens of albums, some cassette only, some CDs, some are little vinyl discs like this one. You've probably never heard of MOTO. It's a good thing that now you know.
