Dark Funeral is a <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/black%20metal" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">black metal</a> Band from Sweden. Their music is describable in four words: Extreme, raw, blasphemous and fast. The melodies are very extensive and complex. Dark Funeral was formed by Ahriman and Blackmoon in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1993. The two were joined by Draugen (drums) and Themgoroth (vocals and bass) before the group began rehearsing and writing material. In the January of 1994, Dark Funeral entered Uni-Sound Studio, owned by <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Dan+Swan%C3%B6" class="bbcode_artist">Dan Swan&ouml;</a>, to record their first EP, titled Dark Funeral.

The leading warriors of Australian Battle Metal have finally arrived with their first era entitled ONLY THE BRAVE RETURN. A 50-minute epic journey displaying an array of blackened melodic death metal, of course mixed with elements of medieval folk music and battle cries. Each song on the album also represents a chapter in the coinciding novel, based on an original fantasy story created by the band.

In Flames is a Swedish alternative metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990. The band's earlier work is considered to be a major influence to the melodic death metal music genre, although they have distanced themselves from the melodic death metal sound. Since the band's conception in 1990, they have received numerous awards and released nine studio albums and one live DVD. The band has enjoyed increased popularity in recent years, both in its native Sweden and internationally. As of 2008, In Flames has sold over two million records worldwide.
