Raised Fist

Raised Fist is a Swedish hardcore band formed in 1993, Luleå, Sweden. The name "Raised Fist" came as an idea from the Rage Against the Machine song "Know Your Enemy", where part of the lyrics are as follows: "Born with an insight and a raised fist..." With influences rooted firmly among bands as Gorilla Biscuits,Youth Of Today and Wide Awake the band started out as firm believers in the old school style.

Minneapolis, Minnesota based rock band featuring former members of Atlantic Records recording artists Gratitude. "Stand Strong EP" released Winter of 2007. Co-Produced by 3 time Grammy winner, Chris Testa. Full length album "Everything Takes Forever" released spring of 2009. Second full length album released February 1st, 2010. Titled "Through the Wire."

At the Gates

At the Gates was a melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, Sweden, and a major progenitor of the Gothenburg death metal sound. Initially active from 1990 to 1996, the band reformed in 2007 for a reunion tour. The last show was on 21 September, 2008 in Athens. At the Gates was formed in 1990 by former members of the pioneering death metal band Grotesque. They recorded a debut EP, Gardens of Grief, for the Dolores record label, and sold cassettes, vinyls, and XL t-shirts to promote the recording.

Soilwork

Soilwork is a swedish melodic death metal band formed in late 1995, originally under the name Inferior Breed in Helsingborg, Sweden. In 1996, they changed their name to Soilwork to better fit their new sound. Their unique sound is a fusion of the classic gothenburg metal sound with power-groove riffs of late 1970s, early 1980s British, and European metal, but in their most recent albums they have also introduced elements from American alternative metal and adopted a more melodic attitude.

First Aid Kit

There are three bands called First Aid Kit: 1. Swedish indie/folk duo consisting of the young sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg from Stockholm.
The debut EP "Drunken Trees" was released on the 9th of April 2008 in Sweden on the label Rabid Records, owned by the Swedish electronic duo The Knife. The EP was re-released through Wichita Recordings early 2009.
Their debut album The Big Black & The Blue was released on January 25th, 2010. Source

Millencolin

Millencolin is a punk rock band that was formed in October of 1992 by Erik Ohlsson, Mathias Färm and Nikola Sarcevic in Örebro, Sweden. Fredrik Larzon (Fredrik Olof Larsson) joined the band in early 1993 which cemented the lineup. Millencolin as a word derives from the skateboard-trick melancholy (also known as "sad air") because of their passion for skateboarding. The band releases their CDs on the Swedish label Burning Heart Records. (releases on Epitaph Records in the US). Since 2003, the band hosts a skateboard contest at their own skate park in Örebro, Sweden.

Roxette

In the end of the 80s and in the early 90s, Roxette, a pop-rock duo from Halmstad, Sweden, stood among the top bands in worldwide sales and notoriety, brandishing a simple yet effective blend of pop with a slight edge and occasional hints of dance. Cortex

Four (or more) artists have gone by the name Cortex: a French jazz-funk group from the 70s, a Swedish punk band, a Spanish metalcore band and a experimental Belgian project by Alain Neffe. 1. A French jazz funk group from the seventies.
Key members were Alain Mion (Piano) and Alain Gandolfi (drums, percussion). Cortex recorded several albums and singles for the Sonodisc label. 2 albums got re-issued: 'Troupeau Bleu' (on 'Dare-Dare') and 'Volume 2' (on 'Follow Me'). 2. A Swedish punk or post-punk band from Gothenburg.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp are London based duo Jeremy Warmsley and Elizabeth Sankey. Their first single, Ghost Train, backed with Montgomery Avenue 1984, was released on Moshi Moshi as part of their Singles Club in April 2010. In September 2010, Summer Camp will release an EP and a single: Young, the EP, features Round the Moon, Was It Worth It, Veronica Sawyer, Why Don't You Stay, Ghost Train and Jake Ryan, incorrectly listed as "Jakey Ryan" on advance copies of the single. All original demos were remastered by Ash Workman. The band will release Round the Moon as a 7" single, backed with It's Summer.

Fever Ray

Fever Ray is the solo project of Karin Dreijer Andersson, who is one half of the Swedish electro act The Knife (the other half is her brother Olof Dreijer). Andersson was also the lead singer and guitarist for the defunct indie pop group Honey is Cool. The first, self-titled Fever Ray record was released digitally on January 13, 2009 and its first single "If I Had A Heart" was released on December 15, 2008.
