Front End Loader

Based in Sydney, Australia, Front End Loader are self-described as "Australia's least popular, relatively well known band". Formed in 1991 FEL have always been a difficult band to categorize. Undeniably a hard rock band, they have avoided the traditional tattoos and hair of hard rock and as musicians, they tend closer to cock or math rock without the earnestness. Front End Loader have been supported by the likes of Regurgitator, The Superjesus and Shihad plus many others. They have a reputation for ferocious live performances and not holding their collective tongue.

Artist Type:

Ashley Naylor

Ashley Naylor is best known as the vocalist, guitarist, and main songwriter for the Australian mod/pop group Even who have recorded four albums and numerous EPs and singles since the mid-'90s. While Even encompass all of the best aspects of the heavier side of the mid-'60s British Invasion (think The Who, The Kinks, The Move, Rolling Stones c. 1964-66) and more recent purveyors of that sound such as The La's, Stone Roses, and Oasis; Naylor's solo debut is more sublime, bringing to styles of vintage Neil Young and the Rolling Stones when Keith Richards was hanging around with Gram Parsons.

Artist Type:

Screwtape

Walter Gross and Bizzart form Screwtape. An experiment in lost and found sound and noises and samples of some of the weirdest and just most obscure shit I've ever heard. But one thing I've learned about Walter Gross and one thing I've trained myself to do, is to listen to the beats and melodies he hears in his head, and when you break down those walls that tell you what you're listening to is just noise, you'll hear it too.

Artist Type:

Fangs of a TV Evangelist

Commercially ignorant Power Trio, even a "supergroup" (is that term still cool?). Based out of Melbourne featuring Jace (Pigman Vampire/Bikini Eyebolt/etc.) on Guitar/Vox, Mikey (Brain resin) on Bass and Jem (Fire Witch/Inappropriate Tough Guy behaviour etc.) on Drums. With each new album comes a name change and more confusion.
Criminally ignored band with a high output of great music.
