The Preachers
To compare Sydney newcomers The Preachers to any musical acts would be unfair. Not that they don’t have their influences (The Band, The Stones, Nick Cave) but their live show is more reminiscent of a religious cult. The howling voodoo high priest Gideon Bensen to the Magdeline-esque passion of Isabella Manfredi the voices in this band stir up a religious fervor which makes you want to drink the kool aid and wait for the spaceship.

Hawkwind
Hawkwind is an English rock band and one of the earliest space rock groups. The band was formed by ex busker and blues man Dave Brock in Ladbroke Grove, England, who intended to marry simple three-chord rock with experimental electronic music. He cites his influences for the band at the time as The Moody Blues, Steve Miller Band and the krautrock scene of Kraftwerk, Neu! and particularly Can.

There is more than one artist with this name: 1. After the Fall (NY) - Melodic Hardcore from Albany, NY since 2000. 2 full lengths recorded at Bill Stevenson’s studio THE BLASTING ROOM (descendents, rise against, less than jake) and also a few 7 inches and EP’s. After the Fall recently released FORT ORANGE on cd/lp and are currently on tour in support. COLLAR CITY is a new 3 song 7” released Jan 5 2010 on MIGHTIER THAN SWORD RECORDS.

The Smashing Pumpkins
The Smashing Pumpkins are an alternative rock band, formed in Chicago, Illinois, USA, in 1988. Billy Corgan and James Iha met in a record store, and began performing in local nightclubs with their bassist, D'Arcy Wretzky, using a drum machine. These Four Walls
These Four Walls are a Hard Rock band based in Auckland, New Zealand. The Band currently consists of four members, but has previously perfomed as a five-piece. The current line-up features Lead Vocalist Steve Gibb also taking on the Rhythm Guitar duties, with Gray Vickers on Lead Guitar, Chris Treeby playing Bass and Brad Vickers playing Drums. The band has released three singles to radio and television in New Zealand, each recieving significant airplay on the major radio stations and TV channels in the country.

Monster Magnet is an American stoner metal/stoner rock band, often cited as one of the most successful and influential in the genre. Shout Out Louds
Shout Out Louds are an indie rock band from Stockholm, Sweden. The band consists of 'four boys and one girl': Adam Olenius (vocals, guitar), Ted Malmros (bass), Carl von Arbin (guitar), Eric Edman (drums) and Bebban Stenborg (keyboards, vocals). Their original name was Luca Brasi after the infamous muscle guy and personal enforcer of Don Vito Corleone from the Godfather films, until they realized another band shared that name. The band started in 2001. All members had been friends since they were young.
