When five pieces from the splintered membership of hardcore's most influential '90s outfits came together, Handsome was formed and the songwriting, textural, and creative limits of an entire genre of rock music were expanded to a previously unimaginable degree. Intentions

There are at least three artists using this name: 1. A three-piece post-hardcore band from Sydney, Australia, formed in mid-2008, taking inspiration from Fugazi, Gang Of Four, Ohana, To The North and Steve Reich. They are three people living in Sydney who argue amongst themselves about what genre they are (indie punk?), but who also make music that is angular, unadorned, catchy, contemplative and incisive. Various perspectives on Intentions' music: "a great raw mix of emotional uncertainty, loose math-rock rhythms and a whirlwind of furious energy... brilliant stuff"
