The members of Taking Dawn grew up surrounded by the glitz and glam, the bright lights and big city of constant vice. This LasVegas upbringing helped shaped the band into what it is today: a rock 'n roll timebomb just waiting to explode on an unsuspecting public with its Roadrunner debut, Time to Burn. "We've spent our whole lives in Las Vegas and we're the only people from Las Vegas who didn't turn into smack dealers," says vocalist/guitarist Chris Babbitt, showcasing his signature humor.

Myles R. Kennedy (born November 27, 1969) is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist originally from Spokane, Washington who possesses an impressive vocal range, with his longest held on note timed at 22 seconds (in Mayfield Four's "Summergirl". Kennedy, a former guitar instructor in the Spokane area who has appeared as a guest of both live performances and recording sessions of numerous bands over the years, currently fronts Alter Bridge, a United States rock band and the brainchild of former Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti.

Paper Champion formed in Sydney in 2007 with founding members Grant Spencer (vocals), Dom Alessio (guitar), Denis Giasli (bass) and Dave Clark (drums). In 2007, Paper Champion released their debut self-titled EP. In 2009, the lineup of the band changed as Dom Alessio and Denis Giasli left to pursue other interests. They were replaced by Michael Tokar (guitar) and George Farrell (bass), and joined by David Nolan (guitar).

There have been two Australian bands named Ironhide. A new band from Brisbane, Australia. Spearheaded by two frantic vocalists, the band plays dissonant and chaotic, yet refined and catchy metal of varying forward-thinking influences such as The Red Chord, Converge, and Misery Signals. Here to have fun. Members and ex-members of The Surrogate, Ryu Vs Ken, Western Decay, Dandelion, Stabbedintheguts, The Vanguard Tic, Naked Burn and Cross The Lips Of Grace.
