The Australian-born American singer who “looks like a pop diva but sings like a real one” (St. Louis Post Dispatch) regularly appears on the world’s most prestigious opera and concert stages and has an exclusive recording contract with Decca. For her debut solo album, Handel Arias, released in 2007, de Niese was named New Artist of the Year at the 2008 ECHO Awards, received the 2008 Orphee D'Or by the Academie Du Disque Lyrique, and was nominated for the 2009 Classical Brit Award for Female Artist of the Year.

Eleanor Friedberger

Eleanor Friedberger (born September 2, 1976 in Oak Park, Illinois) is part of the indie rock duo The Fiery Furnaces with her brother Matthew Friedberger. In the band she contributes the majority of the vocals both on record and during their live performances. Eleanor grew up singing with her grandmother, Olga Sarantos and family in a Greek Orthodox Church. In April 2011, Merge Records announced that they would be releasing Friedberger's first solo album, Last Summer, on July 12, 2011.

My Brightest Diamond is a chamber pop band led by singer-songwriter Shara Worden, which was formed in New York City, NY, USA (2006). Worden is the granddaughter of an Epiphone-playing traveling evangelist; her father was a National Accordion Champion and her mother a classical organist. Having a family of wanderers who migrated across the U.S. every few years, the landscape and the musical influences were constantly changing: Spanish tangos, Sunday morning gospel, classical and jazz were the accompaniment to her home life.

Producer River Jones met Courtney at an art gallery party while he was there playing spur of the moment drums for a noise post punk riot girl band.

Miss A (aka 미스에이, in Hangul), is a South Korean girl group under AQ Entertainment, sub-label of JYPE. miss A began as a five member group and were known as the JYP Sisters. One of the original members was Hye Lim, who replaced Sun Mi of the Wonder Girls. The two remaining members of the group, Wang Fei Fei and Meng Jia, soon had Suzy Bae added making the group into a trio. They released a CF song 다시 사랑 in Korea along with a Chinese version in China in June of 2010. They later added a final member, Min Yong who had trained with JYPE nine years prior to debut.

Laura Marling (born 1st February 1990) is a folk singer/songwriter/guitarist from Eversley, United Kingdom. She began playing the guitar at the age of five, first being taught the blues by her father in front of the family fire, and has been enthralled by the songs and lyrics of the likes of Neil Young, Bob Dylan, James Taylor and John Mayall ever since. It’s not just the “golden-oldies” that Laura admires; she also harbours a rather deep love for alt.country’s favourite son, Ryan Adams.

There are multiple artists recording under the name Sleepyhead. 1. Sleepyhead is a punk rock band from the Twin Cities of Minnesota. 2. sleepyhead, formerly Broken Toy Airplanes:
sleepyhead is an electronica project by seventeen year old Haley EIizabeth Mills. Hailing from Pleasanton, Texas, her music is very enlightening and joyous, while her lyrics are slightly mature and very metaphoric. She’s done a couple contemporary covers, and has a good amount of her own original songs. Definitely young talent at it’s best.
