Karmin

Karmin are Amy Heidemann (Vocals/Guitar) and Nick Noonan (Vocals/Cajon) from Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The <a href="http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=25329" rel="nofollow">Brokenhearted Songfacts</a> reports that their name derives from the Latin word 'carmen,' meaning "song," with a slightly altered spelling to "hint at karma." The pair first gained recognition from their covers of popular Hip-Hop and Pop songs posted on YouTube. After offers from various record companies, the duo signed with Sony and Epic Records in June 2011.

The name comes from an old job she had in a Pet Shop where she worked every Sunday and was known simply as Sunday Girl. Tegan Quin and Sara Quin (born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on September 19, 1980) are identical twins and Canadian singer-songwriters, performing as Tegan and Sara. They initially played as Plunk in 1995, and lacked a drummer and bass player. In 1997, they used their school’s recording studio to record two demo albums: "Who's in Your Band?" and "Play Day". The Like

The Like were formed in September 2001 by Elizabeth "Z" Berg (vocals/guitar), Charlotte Froom (bass/vocals) and Tennessee Thomas (drums) at the ages of 15, 15 and 16, respectively. All three are daughters of music industry veterans; Berg's father is former Geffen Records A&R exec/record producer Tony Berg, Froom's father is producer Mitchell Froom and Thomas' father is Pete Thomas, longtime drummer for Elvis Costello. From childhood, Froom, Berg and Thomas were immersed in classic rock, and all three took piano lessons before teaching themselves their current instruments.

Spazzys

Spazzys are an all-girl punk band formed in 2000 in Melbourne, Australia. They received strong support from Melbourne community radio station 3RRR, before being picked up by popular youth radio station Triple J. They released their debut album Aloha! Go Bananas! in 2004, with singles Paco Doesn't Love Me, Hey Hey Baby and My Boyfriend's Back all charting. They are a constant in the live music scene in Melbourne and have toured nationally several times, often playing festivals such as the Big Day Out.
