Adrian Sherwood has been around for a long time. He's the man behind the On-U Sound label, and eponymous sound system. The one that usually does the rounds at least once a year, and has done so for as long as you can remember. If you've ever been to an On-U gig you'll know it's loud, uncompromising, live dub sound, and you'd remember there's lots and lots of noise, as you recall the ringing that's left in your ears for hours after.
North Atlantic Oscillation are an electronic rock band based in Scotland. They released their first single 'Some Blue Hive' on One Records in June 2007. In 2009 the band signed to Kscope - a Snapper Music label - and released an EP called 'Callsigns'. Their debut album 'Grappling Hooks' was released in the UK in March 2010. Borgore is the alias of Israeli dubstep producer Asaf Borger, who is currently releasing tunes through Shift Recordings, Terminal Dusk, Trill Bass, Zaudio, and Mad Decent. Halifax, Nova Scotia native Chris d'Eon, who performs under his last name only, has a passion for music that started at an early age - he began mixing together his own tracks when his parents bought him some synthesizers and a sequencer at age four. D’Eon’s musical interests expanded when he started college and began studying Iranian, Arabic and Turkish music. This interest took him to northern India, where he lived in a monastery and studied with a Tibetan musician who taught him to play the dranyen, or Tibetan lute.
65daysofstatic began in Sheffield, United Kingdom in 2001 as Iain Armstrong, Paul Wolinski and Joe Shrewsbury. Contrary to popular belief, they did not originally form to try to write music to fit the unreleased and little known John Carpenter film, 'Stealth Bomber' (starring Kurt Russell). Instead, they took their name from the 1954 CIA-backed coup d'etat in Guatemala. There, the CIA disabled Guatemalan communication systems while spreading propaganda, leading to the overthrow of the government.
