There are 2 artists named EMA: 1) EMA is Erika Anderson of the recently broken up long running American west-coast band Gowns. Using solo guitar, piano, voice and tape collage her music could not be blessed with more heartfelt beauty, it seems almost impossible the amount of intimate feeling in the sounds, taking on the piece of music as an instrument in and of itself to accompany Erika's amazing voice and lyrics. I've never tried to mask my unbridled desire for the Jewelled Antler Collective - these San Francisco-based forest dwellers have managed to do something quite magical in them there woods, and make psychedelic folk music (free folk, new weird America, whatever) sound simply irresistible. Kenji Suzuki (鈴木健二, Suzuki Kenji, born January 16, 1950, in Japan), popularly nicknamed Damo Suzuki (ダモ鈴木), is a singer probably best known for his membership in German krautrock group Can. Suzuki spent the late 1960s wandering around Europe, often busking, during which time he would only have been a teenager. When Malcolm Mooney left Can after recording their first album Monster Movie, Holger Czukay and Jaki Liebezeit encountered Suzuki singing on a street in Munich, Germany whilst the two were sitting outside at a street café.
