Madison

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Madison is a New Jersey-based screamo and later more pop punk band. They were active from 2001 until their split in late 2006 after their relationship with their then label Rushmore Records took a turn for the worse. Madison claimed Rushmore neglected them as a band and didn't listen to their repeated requests for them to be sent to the studio to record a full length, demos of new material having already been submitted but apparently ignored by Rushmore.

SixFtHick

Sleazy but wry, cowpunk / hard rock that has some similarities to bands like Nashville Pussy and The Cramps but is more tongue-in-cheek. Know for their ferocious live shows, SixFtHick, portray their hometown, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia as if it was a separate country, with co-lead singer Geoff Corbett playing the role of a parochial Boss Hogg. The other singer, his brother, Ben Corbett plays the role of a disturbed Iggy Pop with an emphasis on physical self abuse.

Death Cab for Cutie is an American indie rock band formed in Bellingham, Washington in 1997. The band consists of Ben Gibbard (vocals, guitar, piano), Chris Walla (guitar), Nicholas Harmer (bass), and Jason McGerr (drums). Death Cab began as a solo project of Ben Gibbard, now the band's vocalist and guitarist. Gibbard took the band name from the satirical song Death Cab for Cutie, performed by The Bonzo Dog Band in The Beatles' 1967 experimental film Magical Mystery Tour.

Garage Hymnal

Garage Hymnal are a collaboration of professional Christian musos, committed to taking time out of their normal gigs to lead the church in worship. Originally formed as the Sydney University Evangelical Union’s 2004 annual conference band, they were quickly overwhelmed by the need for evangelical worship leaders in Sydney and started recruiting like-minded contributors to the project. The most prominent Lithuanian jazz singer and a master of flute. On stage she spreads emotions and sincerity, and her voice, mostly used as an equal instrument in the ensemble and often leading up to emotional culminations, is both full of vitality and intimately mild. Since 1986, when Neda first appeared on the jazz stage with the student ensemble, led by her teacher <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Vladimir+Chekasin" class="bbcode_artist">Vladimir Chekasin</a>, her flute and colourful voice was heard in projects with almost all of the Lithuanian jazz masters, as well as with her international partners.

Petra

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Petra is a Christian Rock band formed in 1972 by Bob Hartman, Bill Glover, John DeGroff, and Greg Hough. "Petra" means "rock" in NT Greek, making the band name a triple pun. Rising from the jesus music movement, and initially signed to Myrrh Records, they fought to gain acceptance and recognition in a church culture that at the time believed rock music to be off-limits.

Millencolin

Millencolin is a punk rock band that was formed in October of 1992 by Erik Ohlsson, Mathias Färm and Nikola Sarcevic in Örebro, Sweden. Fredrik Larzon (Fredrik Olof Larsson) joined the band in early 1993 which cemented the lineup. Millencolin as a word derives from the skateboard-trick melancholy (also known as "sad air") because of their passion for skateboarding. The band releases their CDs on the Swedish label Burning Heart Records. (releases on Epitaph Records in the US). Since 2003, the band hosts a skateboard contest at their own skate park in Örebro, Sweden.

The Stooges

The Stooges are an American rock band which formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan, United States in 1967. They released three studio albums before breaking up in 1974. Despite having little to no chart or radio success, the band has proved to be one of the most influential rock groups of the past 40 years. The band reunited in 2003, released another record in 2007 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. Their best known lineup consisted of Iggy Pop (vocals), Ron Asheton (guitar), Dave Alexander (bass) and Scott Asheton (drums).
