No Use for a Name

No Use for a Name (often abbreviated NUFAN) is a punk rock band from San Jose, California. They were formed in 1987 by Tony Sly and Rory Koff. The band is highly praised in the skate punk and hardcore scenes, though their sound has evolved considerably through the years, taking on a much lighter and poppier brand of melodic punk. NUFAN's debut album, Incognito, was released in 1990 through New Red Archives.

Conditions

Making a claim of performing a countless number of shows, while on face value may seem noteworthy, does not necessarily speak to the impact a band is able to make while on the road. Seemingly, since the beginning of rock and roll a band could pack themselves in a van and stay out there as long as their heart and soul could endure countless trucks stops and sub par accommodations. So when it is noted that the band Conditions have played over 200 shows it is certainly a testament to their commitment.

The Sailors

Review: The Sunday Age July 24
People have been deriding Melbourne's The Sailors as vulgar, offensive, sexist, racist, homophobic one-trick ponies for years. But they're not. Well they are pretty vulgar, and the lyrics are distasteful, but if you listen to the snarling Cracker in the Niggertonk, the sing-speak of I Wanna be Black, and the almost-sweet refrains of Back in the Closet, it's obvious that The Sailors are challenging prejudices by subverting stereotypes.

T'Pau

T'Pau was a late-1980s rock group led by singer Carol Decker. They had a string of Top 40 hits in the UK, and several hits in the United States and Europe. T'Pau formed in 1986. The members originated from the towns of Shrewsbury and Wellington in central England and took their name from a Vulcan high priestess in the classic Star Trek episode Amok Time. Initially a flop in the UK, it first became a hit in the U.S. Billboard charts, reaching #4, a feat it repeated in the UK Singles Chart some months later.
