2 Dogs is a spin-off group created by two of the members of the Brisbane band Resin Dogs, Dave and DJ Katch. Their albums contain a larger variation of both ambient hip-hop beats and also some lyrics thrown in for measure. Prozac Beats, their first album is focused heavily on down-tempo beats and rythms whilst their most recent, D&K Sessions contains both uplifting (Fire in the Belly, Funky 2+1) as well as downtempo interlude tracks.
Grim Demise are a thrash metal band based in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. The band was formed by two ex-members of the now defunct band Seventh Eve, Richard and Luke (Pendo). They decided to leave because as the band's main songwriters they had begun to write material that, according to the other members, did not fit in with the band's melodic sound. Shortly after their departure, they began the search for a bassist.
Sarah McLeod is the former frontwoman of Aussie rock band The Superjesus. McLeod is one of the best recognised women in the Australian music scene and is known for her enthusiastic and unique stage presence. She already has three ARIA awards and over 300,000 record sales to her name (from her Superjesus days), and has been to referred to as the "iconic aussie rock chic". McLeod, originally from Adelaide in South Australia, started singing in her late teens.
The Blackeyed Susans are an Australian band, formed in Perth in 1989, based in Melbourne since 1992. They were initially a "holiday band" put together by David McComb in 1989 while The Triffids were in hiatus. Pestilential Shadows are an Australian black metal act which began in 2003 in Corrimal, New South Wales with Balam and Meririm (a.k.a Azgorh). INXS (pronounced "In Excess") is a rock group formed in Sydney, Australia. The band formed in 1977 under the name The Farris Brothers. Original members included Michael Hutchence (lead vocals), Andrew Farriss (guitar and keyboards), Tim Farriss (lead guitar), Jon Farriss (drums), Garry Beers (bass), and Kirk Pengilly (saxophone and guitar). The band changed their name to INXS just prior to the release of their self-titled début album in 1980.

Powered by a steady musical diet of old time country legends and modern day guitar bands, Ben Blakeney is the skilful master and commander of Perth ex-pats Jack On Fire. The core of the band have a rich history, with Blakeney, Samantha Wass (acoustic guitar/keys/accordian) and Dave Thikerttle-Watts (bass) having played together in eight piece West coast dreamy popsters, Institut Polaire. Jack On Fire is completed by Wass' old friend George Hyde, a fellow country music aficionado, and superb guitarist.
Kate Miller-Heidke (born 16 November 1981) is a singer-songwriter from Brisbane, Queensland. Although trained as an opera singer, she has followed a career in quirky pop music.
In June 2004, she independently released her first seven-track EP, "Telegram". It was followed in April 2006 by "Circular Breathing" EP. Kate released her debut album Little Eve on 15 June 2007 (produced by Magoo). The album entered the charts at #11 and received four ARIA award nominations.
Miller-Heidke's second album, "Curiouser", will be released in the USA on March 16th 2010 and includes the bonus songs "Words" and "RUFKM". The album was recorded in Los Angeles, USA, with Miller-Heidke working with co-producers Keir Nuttall and Mickey Petralia, who has also produced albums for Beck and Flight of the Conchords.
Kate will be touring the US throughout the spring. Highlights include Joe's Pub in NY on March 15th, SXSW, Coachella and Ben Folds dates in April.
Miller-Heidke has been nominated for four aria awards in 2009 including best female, best pop release, best video for the last day on earth and single of the year for the same song.
As of 27th September 2013 Miller-Heidke reported that she had left her previous label 'Sony Music' and was pursuing a crowd-funded project though the crowd-funding platform Pledge Music.
