Alternative Rock

Created in 1998 in Los Angeles, California, United States by actor Jared Leto and his brother, Shannon, 30 Seconds to Mars initially began as a small family project. Matt Wachter later joined the band as bassist and keyboard player. After working with a number of guitarists (including Kevin Drake and Solon Bixler), the three auditioned Tomo Miličević to round out the band's official roster. After Wachter's departure from the band in 2006, the Leto brothers and Miličević continue on as a trio with additional touring members, including Tim Kelleher on bass.

Trying to describe Sugar Army is both joyfully easy and nightmarishly hard. On the one hand you can talk in hyperbole and superlatives, and cover the essential description – that the band is quite unarguably beyond compare – but to try and describe their sound in detail is infinitely more difficult. There are two artists known as Hole: 1) the American alternative rock band fronted by Courtney Love, and 2) a British experimental project active in the late 1980s. 1) Hole is an American alternative rock band that initially formed in Los Angeles, California in 1989 by vocalist/rhythm guitarist Courtney Love and guitarist Eric Erlandson. The band went through various lineups through the subsequent decades before its dissolution in 2002, but is now currently fronted by Courtney Love, with lead guitarist Micko Larkin (formally of Larrikin Love)...

Deftones is an American rock band from Sacramento, California formed in 1988, consisting of Chino Moreno (lead vocals and guitar), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Chi Cheng (bass), Frank Delgado (keyboards and turntables), and Abe Cunningham (drums and percussion). While they were mostly considered as a nu metal band in their early years, their sound progressively evolved into something more complex and experimental, as a result they are often coined today as an alternative metal band.
