Alternative Rock

(formerly known as Aces High) is a four piece alternative/rock band from the Sunshine Coast. Since forming the band some four years ago, the boys (now all age 18) have excelled in leaps and bounds, playing gigs in pubs and clubs around the coast including the grinning dog (Maroochydore), Billy's Bar (Gympie) and Kawana Hotel. They have also been showcasing their song writing talents in local music festivals like Velocity '08, HomeGrown '09, Shout Out Loud '09, and supporting Melbourne rockers the Skybombers and the Sands Tavern (Maroochydore)...

Soundgarden is a Seattle rock band who helped to define the sound that came to be called grunge. Despite starting years earlier, and having a sound that more closely resembled Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin than their contemporaries, they are usually considered one of the "big four" of the '90s Seattle grunge bands, along with Alice In Chains, Nirvana and Pearl Jam. The band was formed in 1984 by Chris Cornell (vocals, and originally drums) and Hiro Yamamoto (bass), to be joined later by Kim Thayil (guitar) and Scott Sundquist (drums).

The Wallflowers, best known for hits like One Headlight and 6th Avenue Heartache from their 1996 album Bringing Down The Horse. Their lead singer, Jakob Dylan, is the son of folk legend Bob Dylan. The Wallflowers started out in 1989 playing alongside other aspiring rockers at Canter's delicatessen in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles. The band signed to Virgin Records and made a self-entitled album, the cover of which had a picture of all the band members' feet, and drummer Peter Yanowitz' dog.

Finabah has come a long way since their humble beginnings in 2002. The idea of forming this awesome foursome started with two mates with too much beer, a guitar and a voice (always a deadly combo!). These two talented munchkins surprisingly remembered there pact to form a band the following morning so they picked up their guitar and vocal chords scattered on the floor and went to get a maxi burger with egg!!!
