Umek

Born in 1976, in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Uroš Umek began DJing in 1993. He and his friends helped develop the dance music scene in Slovenia, and between them they were responsible for putting on the first large scale parties in Slovenia. The result has been that Umek is Slovenia's most famous techno DJ, and a prolific producer. His current style is the combination of many different roots, which the more long term Umek fans may recognise. Starting with a rough, uncompromising edge he quickly built a reputation in the studio. However, more recently he has moved towards a funkier sound...

And for most of the people from that time and that corner of the world there is nothing more important than first of all: hanging around, killing time and second: music, music, music.

Rubix

Rubix’s style is reminiscent of the Rubix cube: it looks much more simple than it actually is. This mix-master can scratch like a madman, and mixes his records so smooth and fast that you sometimes find yourself dancing to one song while the next one is already playing. Rubix’s sets contain everything from Nu Disco to Fidget, and from Baltimore to Electro. His wide range of influences include A-trak, Diplo, Laidback Luke, DJ Sneak, Phoenix, Boys Noize, Armand van Helden and M.I.A.
