Comprising Ajax, Jaime Doom, Dangerous Dan, Gus da Hoodrat & DJ Damage - the Bang Gang originally began playing together under the moniker 'Don't Ask My Neighbours' during 2002. They became more widely known as 'Bang Gang' in 2003, after the success of their weekly club night of the same name. They appropriated what was then a run down strip club, 'Moulin Rouge Down Under' in Kings Cross and begin hosting 'Bang Gang' every Friday night. D.A.M.

The Fauves

1) Formed in Melbourne, Australia in 1988, after 20 years, The Fauves, continue to be one of Australia's most unique bands. Although sonically nondescript, Fauves' song are typically wry, ironic, hyper-literate, biopsies of the broadest range of topics. Comprised of four school friends: Andrew Dyer, Adam Newey, Andrew Cox and Phil Leonard, the Fauves emerged from one of Melbourne's grittier suburbs, Frankston only to find major label support early in their career.

Faker

Faker is an Australian alternative rock band, formed in Sydney in 1996. The band consists of vocalist Nathan Hudson, drummer Evan Mannell, guitarist Nic Munnings, and bassist Ash Moss. Their touring keyboardist is Dizzi de Cazz. The band has released two studio albums, and despite forming in 1996, Faker's first studio album Addicted Romantic, was only released in 2005. Prior to that, the band played multiple local gigs, and also released two EPs. In 2007, Faker became a mainstream success with their second album, Be the Twilight, and went on to continue touring nationally.

The Killgirls are a 5 piece dance/rock band from Adelaide, SA consisting of Tony Irish (drums/percussion), Adam Hood (synthesizers), Nick O'Connor (bass/backing vocals), Rusty Hutchinson (guitars/backing vocals) and Mario Spate (vocals/synthesizers). New Single 'Lo-Fi' due out October 2011 Whilst Sophie Koh’s one-time wish to be a Playschool presenter never actually eventuated, she did manage to land herself on the set of Neighbours in 2010 for a musical cameo role. This opportunity led to a chance meeting with Australia’s indie-pop king, Ben Lee. A mutual desire to collaborate resulted in Sophie working with producer Brad Wood (Liz Phair/Pete Yorn/Smashing Pumpkins) at his leafy Seagrass studios in Los Angeles.

After almost 10 years and nearly 1000 shows, Melbourne power trio Antiskeptic have decided to finish their incredible journey this September. And what a journey it has been! Formed in the back of a record store in 1999, the band quickly rose to prominence through the strength of their energetic live shows and acclaimed recorded material. Hard working and independent, the band self-financed numerous EPs and albums including Memoirs of a Common Man (2001), Aurora (2003) and Monuments (2006).

Harley Webster (born 1981), better known as Phrase is an Australian hip hop MC, originating from Melbourne, Victoria. Growing up in the suburbs of Melbourne, Phrase’s love of hip hop kicked off in his early teens when he started listening to Ice T, NWA, Ice Cube, and 2Pac. Whilst he was a certified fan of these US rappers, it wasn’t until he began listening to community radio and new Australian rappers that he started to feel a real affinity with hip hop as an art-form. “These dudes were rapping about issues that I relate to like cops, graffiti, and crime in Australia.

For Amusement Only was an Australian pop punk band from Melbourne, Victoria. They released an EP in 2002, titled Where Did We Go Wrong? and an album in 2003 titled One for the Team.
