Hall & Oates

From their first hit in 1974 through their heyday in the '80s, Daryl Hall and John Oates' smooth, catchy take on philly soul brought them commercial success — including six number one singles and six platinum albums. Hall & Oates' music was well-constructed and produced; at their best, their songs were filled with strong hooks and melodies that adhered to soul traditions without being a slave to them by incorporating elements of new wave and hard rock.

Zombie Nation

Zombie Nation is a German techno and electro project of the Munich based DJ and producer Florian Senfter (aka Splank!). Until 1999 Emanuel Guenther (aka Mooner) was also involved in the project. The first Zombie Nation five track EP was released in the spring of 1999 on DJ Hell's label, International DeeJay Gigolo Records. The debut release contained the unsuspecting song Kernkraft 400, which was based on part of David Whittaker's music from the 1984 Commodore 64 game Lazy Jones. A licensed re-make of that song landed in high chart-positions all over the world.

Salamander

There are several bands with that name: 1. Minneapolis outfit Salamander began as a duo in the summer of 1992 featuring Erik Wivinus and Sean Connaughty on guitars and vocals. They played mostly mellow drone-based instrumentals that in retrospect sounded much like contemporaries Labradford or Low. Doug Morman joined on bass in early 1993. They recorded and played gigs as a drummer-less trio until Bryce Kastning joined on drums and keyboards in early 1994.

Marcel Woods

Even though his star is rising exponentially, Dutch ‘bon vivant’ Marcel Woods really knows what it’s like to stay down to earth. With a respectable list of banging floor fillers to his credit Woods refuses repetition and is on a constant quest for new innovations. It is because of this attitude that he is in the same league as the greatest trance oriented DJs in the Netherlands. However, hating the confinement of being tagged, Woods therefore always thinks outside the box, leaving the techno and trance label far behind him.

Jason Creek

The future is looking bright for 20 year old DJ & Producer Jason Creek.

Sander van Doorn

Having made his debut in the world renowned DJ Mag Top 100 at 32 in 2006, before climbing 19 places to No.13 in 2008’s poll, and in the following year 2009, Sander van Doorn reached 10th place; sandwiched between Gareth Emery and ATB, the fast rise of Sander van Doorn is a testament to his raw talent and dedication. In just seven years he’s clocked up more dance floor destroyers, sell out gigs and awards than most artists do in a lifetime… and his journey is still in its infancy.
