Dirtywings

dirtywings' music is indie-pop earcandy with a rock/electro edge. Hairbrush-mime to their fresh yet familiar-sounding melodies, hooky riffs, and catchy, memorable choruses. Lyrically, dirtywings push the pop envelope, unafraid to probe at controversial subjects. They invite listeners to have a spiritual moment by meditating on the fundamental question 'what happens when I die?' ("When My Body Dies").

Artist Type:

Kinematic

Kinematic have been making music for a while and it's something they love doing. They've created a mix of sonic treats, ranging from thoughtful folk music to distortion laced indie rock, with a whole bunch of indie pop songs that fall somewhere in between.

Kinematic are unsigned and independent. They’ve managed to self-produce a string of single, album and video releases and the band are justifiably proud of that. They do everything … writing, recording, producing, releasing, promoting … which means they have the freedom to do whatever they want, and to do it their own way.

Murray has performed throughout North America, Europe, Japan, and South America, and released several CDs on the Asian Man Records label.

Artist Type:

Addison Groove

Addison Groove is the jukin' alter-ego of Headhunter. Over the last 12 months he's become notorious for ripping through fierce sets of Chicago juke music; the mutant niche offspring of DJ Funk and Slugo's booty house designed to incite mindblowing dance moves from liquid-hipped quicksteppers. He takes the 808-derived percussion of juke proper and reconstitutes the groove at a 'step compatible 136 bpm, contrasting the 808's booming potential with hi-pitched toms and rapid-fire samples to make the dancefloor go f*cking spare.

Artist Type:

softwar

I've never tried to mask my unbridled desire for the Jewelled Antler Collective - these San Francisco-based forest dwellers have managed to do something quite magical in them there woods, and make psychedelic folk music (free folk, new weird America, whatever) sound simply irresistible. I don't know what it is really, maybe it's the guiding hand of Thuja-member and founder of the whole thing Loren Chasse, who appears here as the spiritual frontman of Softwar.

Artist Type:
