Agents Of Abhorrence are a guitar/drums/vocals grindcore trio from Melbourne, Australia featuring Ben Andrews (My Disco, ex-Whitehorse, ex-Clann Zu, Magnetics, Blarke Bayer) on guitar, Max Kohane (Terror Firma, Cut Sick!, MAXXIMAL PATTERRORIST) on drums and Grant Johns on vocals.
Loma Prieta is a hardcore band, featuring members of Archeopteryx, Punch, Sailboats, Beau Navire and us, haunted bodies, that formed in San Francisco in 2005. Since formation, they have released four 12 inch records, and two 7 inch records (mostly on their own label), however their newest lp, "IV" is being released on Deathwish Records, home of bands such as Converge, Trap Them, and Touche Amore. Every Time I Die is a five-piece southern metal band from Buffalo, New York, founded in the winter of 1998. Though popularly classified as hardcore, Every Time I Die's sound also contains strong elements of metalcore, southern rock and mathcore. Beginning with a noisy, chaotic sound close to mathcore they increasingly added fat grooves and twin leads to the mix with each release. Also of note are Keith Buckley's intelligent and often cryptic lyrics. The band announced on July 14, 2008 that they have left Ferret Music and have recently signed with Epitaph.
In a short two years West Melbourne band Distant Wreck have become an integral part of Melbourne's quickly emerging "new blood". Having joined many of the countries finest bands on stage (Carpathian, Miles Away, Break Even, Hopeless) as well as internationals Shai Hulud and Ruiner; Distant Wreck are now ready to make their presence known as a band who holds their own. Their recently recorded “United Nothings" release is a five track precursor to the bands full length to be recorded in April this year.
Suicidal Tendencies is an American hardcore punk band formed in 1982 in Venice, California. Sometimes regarded as the progenitors of skate punk, they later incorporated significant heavy metal and thrash elements. The group, led by Mike Muir ("Cyco Miko"), had a rough start that included being voted "Worst Band/Biggest Assholes" in Flipside in 1982. Using the opposition to fuel creativity, they quickly gained a following, performing larger and larger gigs.
