Built to Spill

Built to Spill is an indie rock band based in Boise, Idaho, United States. The band is best known for its catchy guitar hooks and the unique voice of frontman Doug Martsch. Former Treepeople frontman Doug Martsch formed Built to Spill in 1992 with Brett Netson and Ralf Youtz as the band's original members. In an interview with Spin magazine, Martsch stated that he intended to change the band's lineup for every album, with Martsch being the only permanent member.

Circa Survive

Circa Survive is an alternative rock band consisting of former Saosin vocalist Anthony Green and members of the now-defunct This Day Forward, including guitarists Brendan Ekstrom and Colin Frangicetto. Compared to the sound of Green's former group, the music of Circa Survive taps a different musical influence for Green, who cites Paul Simon, Dredg, and Björk among later artists who have more influence on his vocal stylings in Circa Survive which are comparatively less aggressive, as well as his songwriting.

Sandi Thom

Sandi Thom’s infamous debut single, I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker (With Flowers In My Hair) topped the charts in 7 countries with the ensuing album shifting over a million copies worldwide and winning her an Ivor Novello award.
That was 2006.
After touring the UK & Europe with new Blues Powerhouse Joe Bonamassa in late 2009, opening for the likes of BB King and Steve Winwood, Sandi was inspired to explore deeper and more organic musical roots with her next record.

Holly Miranda

Holly Miranda is a Detroit born musician, raised between Michigan and Tennessee. Besides being trained in piano, Holly is a self-taught guitar and trumpet player. In 2001, She recorded "High Above The City", a 20-track solo album available only at shows. In the fall of 2003, Holly met and teamed up with Alex Lipsen, producer and keys player. The project evolved into The Jealous Girlfriends, a four piece band based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She also recorded and performed as Raven Mayhem.

Tinpan Orange

Tinpan Orange have spent the past year making themselves at home in the live music venues and jazz clubs of Melbourne, sharing the stage with artists such as Renee Geyer, The Whitlams, Clare Bowditch, Deborah Conway, Pete Murray and Tim Rogers. Having enjoyed the success of their first independent album, Aroona Palace, Tinpan Orange are almost bursting at seams to lay down the next one, beginning recording in late October 2006. The evolution of the live Tinpan sound will be captured at its richest point yet.

Santigold

Santigold (born Santi White on September 25, 1976) is a musician, songwriter and producer from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States who formerly went under the stage name Santogold. She is perhaps best known for the song L.E.S. Artistes which became a hit in the UK and on American alternative radio. According to Songfacts, she was originally nicknamed "Santogold" by a classmate back in the 1980s because of her sister-girl style.

Kate Nash

Kate Nash (b. 6 July 1987) is a singer/songwriter/pianist/guitarist from Harrow, North London, England, best known for the UK #2 hit "Foundations". Growing up in Harrow, London, Nash first became interested in music during her childhood when she learned to play the piano. She attended St. John Fisher school and moved onto the St. Joan of Arc School in Rickmansworth. Her talents were harnessed further when she wrote songs for her GCSE in Music and her time studying at the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology in Croydon, South London.

There are at least two bands called Malakai. One is a four piece metal band from Phoenix Arizona, US, and the other is a two-piece band from Bristol, UK. The following is about the Bristol Band:
They comprise of Gee (vocals) and Scott (music). Their sound is a mix of beats and samples, drawing on a wide range of influences from dub to sixties pop, all tied together by Gee’s distinctive voice.
