Modest Mouse

Modest Mouse is an American rock band. The band was formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington, United States by guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green and bassist Eric Judy. Since being signed to Sony's Epic Records in 2000, Modest Mouse has attained significant popular success with songs such as "Float On" and "Dashboard." The band's current configuration is Isaac Brock (vocals, guitar), Tom Peloso (strings, horns, bass, keyboards), Eric Judy (bass), Jeremiah Green (drums) and Joe Plummer (drums).

(There is more than one artist by this name - this article refers to Australian band "The Basics" who have released the records 'Keep Your Friends Close', 'Stand Out/Fit In', 'Call It R&B', 'For Girls Like You' and 'Get Back') The Basics, whose musical style could loosely be described as heavily referencing 60s pop and rock (such as The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Kinks etc) with elements of rock 'n' roll, reggae and rhythm and blues mixed in,were formed after Kris Schroeder and Wally de Backer met at a party in Melbourne.

Ben Kweller

Ben Kweller was born in San Francisco, CA in 1981. In 1982 his family relocated to Emory, TX where his father Howard Kweller became the town's first doctor. In 1986, The Kwellers moved to a much larger city, Greenville, TX. Ben was exposed to music at a very early age. Howard taught Ben how to play the drums when he was 7 years old. For the next year, the father and son would jam together almost every night after Howard got home from work.

Love of Diagrams

Love of Diagrams is an indie rock band from Melbourne, Australia, formed in 2001. Their sound is characterized by a mix of energetic drumming, angular guitar and bass riffs, and call-and-response vocals. Their sound is notably influenced by New York No Wave and UK post punk. Love of Diagrams began as a band back in early 2001 and quickly cemented their place as a live sensation amongst the Australian music scene.

Jason Lytle

Jason Lytle (b. March 26, 1969) fronted Modesto, California based indie rock outfit Grandaddy, which split up in 2006. He was the sole songwriter in the band, and he sang and played most of the instruments on the albums. Live he handled vocals, guitars and keyboards and synths. He has continued as a solo artist after the end of Grandaddy, so far only playing Grandaddy material at a handful of solo shows.

Cold War Kids are an indie rock band from Fullerton, California, USA. Band members are Nathan Willett (lead vocals, piano, guitar), Jonnie Russell (guitar, vocals, percussion), Matt Maust (bass guitar) and Matt Aveiro (drums). The band started in historic downtown Fullerton in Jonnie's apartment above the restaurant Mulberry St. (their first EP title). They are avid supporters of unsigned talent such as the band Electric Furs.

Even are an Australian indie rock three-piece fronted by singer/songwriter/guitarist Ashley Naylor, with Matthew Cotter on drums and Wally Kempton (also known as Wally Meanie) on bass and backing vocals. Even formed in Melbourne, Australia in March 1994. History Naylor and Cotter played music together at high school and in indie band The Swarm, before being joined by Kempton on bass . Even played their first gig in 1994 at the Empress of India Hotel in Fitzroy, Victoria and after a number of EP's, the band released their first studio album, "Less is More" in 1996.
