Basement Jaxx

Basement Jaxx is a critically acclaimed English house music duo comprised of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe that rose to popularity in the late 1990s. Basement Jaxx started in Brixton, South London, UK in 1994, where they held a regular club night called Rooty, which would later become the name of their second artist album (Rooty). In addition to Rooty, their other albums include Kish Kash, Remedy, The Singles, Crazy Itch Radio and Scars.

Somewhere at the interstellar crossroads of Sun Ra, DJ Spooky, Strata East, and Lee “Scratch” Perry lies the incomparable musical mind of L.A. native Ras G (né Gregory Shorter, Jr.). Though he often affixes the group moniker “The Alkebulan (or Afrikan) Space Program” to his name, Ras G (a composite of his first initial and a testament to his belief in Rastafari) is the sole captain and crew of this spacecraft.

He specializes in sample-based remixes, in which he uses at least a dozen elements from different songs to create a new song.

Ou Est Le Swimming Pool

Où est le swimming pool is an electro pop band based in Camden, London, England. They are most known for their track 'Dance the Way I Feel' and the Armand van Helden remix included on several mixes over the summer of 2009. The band first formed as a three piece in 2008 when late founding member Charles Haddon met up with other members Joe Hutchinson and Caan Capan. Anders Kallmark joined the band soon afterwards.
