Swans

Swans is an influential band from New York City, New York, United States, active from 1982 to 1997, reformed in 2010, led by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Michael Gira. Marginally associated with the no wave scene at first, their original sound was slow and heavy, with live performances that were often so brutal and physical that in a number of instances certain audience members were made ill, police were called and venues were shut down. This early physical sound is possibly best heard on the live album Public Castration Is a Good Idea.

AV大久保

www.myspace.com/avokubo Hailing from industrial Wuhan, AV Okubo was founded in 2006. The name of the band comes from a part of a Hong Kong Movie, First Love:The Litter on The Breeze. Their performances are electrifying and burst with the crackling energy and sophisticated take on our throwaway garbage culture that animates the best pulp fiction and b-movies of the 1940s and 1950s. All the band members in AV Okubo were born in the 1980s, and it clearly comes through in their music.

The Damned

The Damned are a punk rock group originally from Croydon, England, a suburb of London, who were formed in 1976. Despite being one of the definitive early punk bands they were also one of the most ambitious; with their later albums moving away from the breakneck garage sound of their debut and taking in elements from goth and psychedelia to prog and metal. They are notable for being the first of the British punk bands to release a single, put out an album, and tour the United States.
