Lumiere

There are multiple artists with this name: 1) A Japanese artist. 2) Lumiere is an Irish group consisting of two fine female voices, Éilís Kennedy and Pauline Scanlon. Both of them come from the small Kerry town of Dingle. Their sound recalls very early Joan Baez - just perfectly tuned voice with acoustic instruments. On their 2010 album, Lumiere, they sing seven songs in English - all in the Irish tradition - and four in Irish Gaelic.

There are at least two bands called Epica: 1. Idle Hands

1) The five member band from Minneapolis seems to follow the path blazed by Joy Division while attempting to offer a fresh perspective, though it often surfaces with a a sound straight-from-the-80s. 2) Descedents and Wipers influenced punk from Münster, Germany. 3) Idle Hands (1999-2002) was a poppy rock group from California. They played a very different style of music from most of their label-mates on Trustkill Records.

Grace Jones

Grace Jones (born Grace Mendoza on May 19, 1948, in Spanish Town, Jamaica) is a model, singer and actress. Raised in Syracuse, New York, she found success in the 70s as a model, working in New York and Paris (where she shared an apartment with Jerry Hall and Jessica Lange), before rising to public prominence as a singer and personality. Jones secured a record deal with Island Records, which resulted in a string of club hits.

Paramore

Paramore is an American rock band that was formed in Franklin, Tennessee, United States in 2003. The band consists of Hayley Williams (lead vocals/keyboard), Josh Farro (lead guitar/backing vocals), Jeremy Davis (bass guitar), Taylor York (rhythm guitar), and Zac Farro (drums). The band have released three studio albums in total; All We Know Is Falling (2005), RIOT! (2007) and Brand New Eyes (2009).

Husky

There are at least two bands named "Husky". 1) Polish electronica-downtempo duo consisting of Patrycja Hefczynska (vocalist/writer) and Jacek Dojwa (composer/producer). Their music is influenced by such artists as Björk, Craig Armstrong, Amon Tobin, Telefon Tel Aviv, Portishead and Lamb. They released two LP's: "Czy słyszysz?" (eng. Do you hear) in 2002 and "Zgadnij" (eng. Guess) in 2006. 2) Based in Charlotte, NC, Husky is made up of Mark Hadden (bass), Phil Strickland (guitar), and Nate Wilkinson (drums).

Kate Miller-Heidke

Kate Miller-Heidke (born 16 November 1981) is a singer-songwriter from Brisbane, Queensland. Although trained as an opera singer, she has followed a career in quirky pop music.

In June 2004, she independently released her first seven-track EP, "Telegram". It was followed in April 2006 by "Circular Breathing" EP. Kate released her debut album Little Eve on 15 June 2007 (produced by Magoo). The album entered the charts at #11 and received four ARIA award nominations.

Miller-Heidke's second album, "Curiouser", will be released in the USA on March 16th 2010 and includes the bonus songs "Words" and "RUFKM". The album was recorded in Los Angeles, USA, with Miller-Heidke working with co-producers Keir Nuttall and Mickey Petralia, who has also produced albums for Beck and Flight of the Conchords.

Kate will be touring the US throughout the spring. Highlights include Joe's Pub in NY on March 15th, SXSW, Coachella and Ben Folds dates in April.

Miller-Heidke has been nominated for four aria awards in 2009 including best female, best pop release, best video for the last day on earth and single of the year for the same song.

As of 27th September 2013 Miller-Heidke reported that she had left her previous label 'Sony Music' and was pursuing a crowd-funded project though the crowd-funding platform Pledge Music. Jenny and Johnny first started working together in Los Angeles in 2005, after being introduced by Conor Oberst. Rice had traveled to Nebraska to make his first record before moving to L.A., where Lewis was beginning work with Mike Mogis on her solo debut Rabbit Fur Coat. They both ended up playing on each others recordings, and struck up a lasting creative relationship. Rice joined Lewis’ band for the Rabbit Fur Coat world tour in 2006, and has played live with Lewis at every show of her solo career thus far.

Robin Miriam Carlsson aka Robyn (born June 12, 1979) is a Swedish singer and songwriter from Stockholm, Sweden. She scored massive successes in the summer of 2007 with her hit single "With Every Heartbeat" which was most notably #1 in the UK, but also had chart success in her native Sweden, the Netherlands, Ireland and Germany. She is best known in the USA for her 1997 song "Do You Know (What It Takes)". Her debut single "You've Got That Something" was released in Sweden in 1995. Later the same year, her Swedish breakthrough came with the single "Do You Really Want Me (Show Respect)".
