Nick Snelling Beat Melbourne three-piece Sleep Parade's debut album Things Can Always Change was released in April 2008 through Shock Records. The bands plans include spending the rest of this year and through till the end of summer touring the album and playing to crowds Australia wide.

Jethro Tull

Ian Anderson's flute may be the defining factor in Jethro Tull's music, but it's only one element in a band that's been around since the late 60s. Originally a blues-based rock band with a few dollops of British folk in their sound, they evolved into one of the most popular progressive rock bands of the 70s. Jethro Tull formed in Blackpool, Lancashire, England in 1967. Their music is marked by the quirky vocal style and unique lead flute work of frontman Ian Anderson and by unusual and often complex song construction.

Sydonia

Sydonia are probably most best described as a melodic metal band. Whilst their music can sometimes represent that of anger and pain, as in "Andwethoughthewasmad" off the EP (Man)ipulate, it can also sometimes represent that of calm, soft and somewhat relaxing taste, as in "Taste More", also from (Man)ipulate. However, this variety in sound further intensifies the talent that is posessed in this band. Lead singer, Dana Roskvists, explores as many regions of the larynx as you may have thought possible. Lyrically and musically this band will not fail to amaze.

Panta Rei

1) Panta Rei was an early Swedish progressive rock band. They released a self-titled album in 1973. Not to be confused with the similarly named Panta Rhei. The band played psychedelic rock/blues. The setting on the record was as follows: Leadsinger Georg Trolin, Cary Wihma on bass, Tomo Wihma played the drums, Thomas Arnesen on guitar and Leif Östman also on guitar and Göran Freese on sax. The Mars Volta is an American rock group formed in 2001 by guitarist Omar A. Rodriguez-Lopez and vocalist Cedric Bixler Zavala. They incorporate various influences including post-hardcore, jazz fusion, psychedelia, funk and latin/salsa into their sound. They are characterized for their energetic and improvisational live shows, as well as their concept-based studio albums. The roots of The Mars Volta are found in the band At the Drive-In.

Gypsy & The Cat

Gypsy & The Cat are a pop duo from Melbourne, Australia. Lionel Towers and Xavier Bacash began writing and recording together in 2008. They are currently preparing a debut album for release in 2010. There are four different bands called Crucible - one prog rock, one christian rock, one folk and one metal. The first Crucible is a blistering metal band with releases on No Idea records. The band contains vocals by popular illustrator Stenvik Mostrom. Band members were also in Anthem Eighty Eight, As Friends Rust, Assuck, Kumite, Salem, Tired From Now On and White Dove Frisbee Team. The second Crucible has 5 members and the band had it's debut in 1998 with "Tall Tales".
