Kristina Olsen

Kristina Olsen (born on May 26, 1957 in San Francisco, California) is a contemporary folk singer-songwriter, known for her sometimes humorous and ribald songs. Many of her recordings appear on Rounder Records. On her recent albums, she collaborates with the Australian cellist Peter Grayling.

Nancy Kerr (Vocals, Fiddle, Viola, Guitar) and James Fagan (Guitar, Bouzouki, Vocals, Piano) are a folk music duo currently living near Bath, UK. Nancy Kerr is English and used to perform in a duo with Eliza Carthy, and James Fagan is Australian. They were married on June 16th 2007.

Grizzly Bear

Grizzly Bear is an indie/folk rock band from Brooklyn, New York. Their music uses melody and ambiance in conjunction with hazy-eyed choruses, whistles, piano, banjo, and several woodwind instruments. Grizzly Bear was originally the solo project of Edward Droste (vocals/guitar), who recorded his debut album Horn Of Plenty at home. The record was originally meant for his friends, but it eventually circulated and got a proper release in 2004, this time with the help of Christopher Bear (drums/vocals). A re-release with a bonus disc of remixes was issued in 2005.

William Elliott Whitmore (born 1978) is an American blues singer and musician from Lee County, Iowa. He has recorded a number of albums released on Southern Records, and now is a member of the Anti Records family. His act consists mostly of playing the banjo or guitar while singing, though on occasion he performs a cappella. He has earned much acclaim from the folk, blues and alt-country communities

Daddy Long Legs

Daddy Long Legs were a London three-piece who made wonky and joyfully noisy pop music. The band comprised of an Englishman on bass (Jay Ballard), a Scotsman on guitar (Al Joseph) and a half-Portugueseman on drums (Chris Rodriguez); who were all equally in charge of singing, hooting, whooping and shouting.

Benjalu

Thriving and following the steps of independent acts before them, benjalu is a band that prides themselves on the old school approach of constant touring to promote their music. Since their formation in 2006 the Newcastle based roots-rock outfit have made the most of their successes. In 2007 benjalu concentrated on playing every week, mainly focussing on shows in their hometown. They capped off the year when the band released their debut EP ‘Reflecting On’ to an overwhelming response.
