William Elliott Whitmore (born 1978) is an American blues singer and musician from Lee County, Iowa. He has recorded a number of albums released on Southern Records, and now is a member of the Anti Records family. His act consists mostly of playing the banjo or guitar while singing, though on occasion he performs a cappella. He has earned much acclaim from the folk, blues and alt-country communities
There are two artists with this name: James Walker is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist musician based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Walker has numerous band appearances to his credit. His current solo project is also his first. James Walker (other names include "Jay-Jay", "Strawberry Blonde Gangster" and "Go away") is also an upcoming and promising solo artist who's track record includes allegedly playing keyboard with led zeppelin and the white stripes. John Paul Hammond (born 13th November 1942), also known as "John Hammond Jr", is a blues singer and guitarist. He usually plays acoustic guitars and dobros and sings in a barrelhouse style. Since 1962, when he made his debut on Vanguard Records, Hammond has made 29 albums. In the 1990s he recorded for the Pointblank label. Hammond has earned one Grammy Award and been nominated for four others. He is the son of the legendary record producer John H. Hammond.
