'Whatever else I have done, I always come back to music' says Chris, who has of necessity done a number of other jobs and worked in the theatre, journalism and 'any other damn job that will pay the rent.' He lives in Somerset where he enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors, looking after animals and creating a garden with 'anything you can eat; it's better to grow food, for yourself and whatever flies by.'

America

America is a light rock band, most popular in the early and mid 1970s and now best known for their #1 hits "A Horse With No Name" and "Sister Golden Hair." Comprised of Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell, and Dan Peek, they were seldom a favorite with critics, but were exceptionally successful commercially selling both singles and albums. Despite the presence of other heavyweight acts like James Taylor and Rod Stewart on their roster, America was Warner Brothers Records' biggest selling act of the 1970s.

FRACTAL

There are several bands with the name (Fractal): 1) Most of the tracks you can play here are from the instrumental debut CD Continuum, released in 2003 by the San Jose CA based progressive rock band Fractal. Their website is www.fractal-continuum.com. Fractal were formed in 2000 with a strong early influence from mid-late period King Crimson, and have since developed a unique sound, often using complex time signatures. In 2008, they are finalizing the recording of their second full CD. A single track from this CD "Aftermath" was pre-released in 2007.

A.A. Bondy

A.A. Bondy is an abbreviation of Auguste Arthur Bondy (aka Scott Bondy), the former lead singer of Birmingham, AL's Southern grunge darlings Verbena. After Verbena broke up in 2003, Bondy retreated to a Catskills home in Palenville in upstate New York and in time began writing songs again, emerging with a stripped-down indie folk sound. He recorded and mixed his debut album, "American Hearts", at a barn near his home, releasing the project in 2007 on the Superphonic imprint. The album was picked up by Fat Possum and re-released early in 2008.

Folk Uke is Cathy Guthrie, daughter of Arlo Guthrie, and Amy Nelson, daughter of Willie Nelson. The duo has a unique folk-pop sound and catchy lyrics, creative lyrics, notably on their original song, "Shit Makes the Flowers Grow."

Wellington 5-piece The Thomas Oliver Band have spent the past few years touring and playing live throughout New Zealand with the likes of Fat Freddy’s Drop, Gin Wigmore and Britain’s Oli Brown. Buffy Sainte-Marie

Buffy Sainte-Marie (born 20 February 1941) is an Academy Award-winning Canadian First Nations musician, composer, visual artist, educator and social activist. She was born on the Piapot Cree reserve in the Qu'Appelle valley, Saskatchewan. She was later adopted and grew up in Maine and Massachusetts. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts and also holds degrees in both Oriental Philosophy and teaching.
