Refused

Refused is a <a href="http://www.last.fm/tag/hardcore%20punk" class="bbcode_tag" rel="tag">hardcore punk</a> band originating from Umeå, Sweden, formed in 1991. The band's final lineup comprised its founding members, vocalist <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Dennis+Lyxz%C3%A9n" class="bbcode_artist">Dennis Lyxz&eacute;n</a> and drummer David Sandström, as well as guitarists Kristofer Steen and Jon Brännström. Their lyrics were often of a non-conformist and politically far-left nature. The band released five EPs and three albums before initially splitting up in 1998.

Don Letts

Don Letts’ came to notoriety in the late '70s DJing reggae music to punk crowds at 'The Roxy' club in London. He also started to document the punk rock movement in 'The Punk Rock Movie'. He continued to make documentaries across the spectrum of credible music including a celebrated film about Bob Marley. Musically, he was a founder member of Basement 5 and Big Audio Dynamite,the latter with The Clash's Mick Jones, managed the all woman punk group The Slits and collaborated with many post-punk outfits in the 1980s.

Hytest

Hytest - finest stoner punk from Wollongong, Australia (Michael Curley - guitar, Luke Armstrong - bass, Adam Rogan/Neil Matthews - drums) In 2004 they recorded and independently released their first self titled EP and after placing highly in Triple Js Unearthed competition, received light airplay for “The Party song” and “Dirty old men(need lovin' too)” on local and international radio. A second EP was soon to follow.

The Go Set

When singer/songwriter J. Keenan and bassist Mark Moran formed The Go Set in 2003, it seemed only natural to combine the elements of the music they had grown up on. Having both been brought up on everything from traditional celtic and folk music, to early seventies punk rock, and with a voice for political perspective and social conscience, The Go Set embarked on a unique musical journey. Combining the folk elements of the bagpipes, accordion, and mandolin, with distorted punk guitars and a rock n roll ethos, The Go Set created a sound and direction all its own.

The Menzingers

The Menzingers originally formed after the dissolution of Bob And The Sagets, a band local to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area of Pennsylvania. With the addition of Greg Barnett the band recorded a demo/self-released album "A Lesson In The Abuse Of Information Technology" in 2006. Shortly thereafter they were signed by Go-Kart Records and re-recorded the songs from "A Lesson" and re-released their album with the addition of some new tracks. At the Fest VII in Gainesville, FL they were approached by Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms and subsequently signed to Red Scare Industries.

A Death In The Family

Forming in Melbourne (Australia) in mid-2004. A DEATH IN THE FAMILY play unique blend of sonic rock & melody driven punk inspired by bands like Leatherface, Husker Du and Hot Water Music. After releasing a 5-track demo EP (now out of print) in Dec 2004, ADITF have spent the past 12 months playing alongside bands such as Blueline Medic, The Nation Blue, Ted Leo (USA), The Explosion (USA), Bodyjar, Sommerset (NZ), Away From Now and were lucky enough to support Leatherface (UK) on their first Australian tour in mid-2005.

The Used

The Used is an American band from Orem, Utah. Their sound has been classified under many sub-genres of rock. They signed with Reprise Records in late 2001 and rose to fame in June 2002 after releasing their debut self-titled album, The Used. Soon after a CD/DVD package named "Maybe Memories" was released containing unheard demos and a "behind the scenes" story of the band/band's past. They followed up with their second album, In Love and Death, in September 2004 and their third album, Lies For The Liars, in May 2007.
