Indie Rock

Lydia

Lydia was a three-piece (formerly six) indie rock group from Gilbert, Arizona. Whether expressing the vicissitudes of a romance run off course or finding one's soul deep inside his or her thoughts, Lydia crafts its sound with cadence approach that creates the equal allegiance to thunder and quiet found in Antleman's words, and further solidifies its place as the voice of today's indie rock generation.

Initially, The Antlers was a solo project created by vocalist and guitarist Peter Silberman immediately after he had moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 2007. Silberman wrote the first album, "In the Attic of the Universe" by himself and under his own name. Afterwards, he recruited Lerner and Cicci, becoming a collaborative group. The band recorded two EPs: "Cold War" and "New York Hospitals".

Throughout its various incarnations, recording and touring lineups of the band have included co-founders Ben Deily and Jesse Peretz, John Strohm (Blake Babies), Doug Trachten, Corey Loog Brennan, Byron Hoag, Ben Daughtry, Juliana Hatfield (Blake Babies), Nic Dalton (Godstar, Sneeze, The Plunderers), Dave Ryan, Patrick "Murph" Murphy (Dinosaur Jr), Bill Gibson (Eastern Dark), Mark 'Budola' Newman, Kenny Lyon, Vess Ruhtenberg, Devon Ashley, Karl Alvarez and Bill Stevenson (Descendents), P. David Hazel and various others.

Cited as one of the most important alternative rock groups, The Lemonheads were active until 1997 and went on hiatus, but reformed with a new lineup in 2005 and released The Lemonheads in the following year. Cabins

”Dark”, “melodic”, “spiky” and “atmospheric” are all overused words in the noble pursuit of describing sound. Still, they all seem oddly appropriate when trying to get a handle on what Sydney's Cabins are. With a sound that is uniquely theirs, they sift through rubble in the musical junkyard pulling out shards of glass and little treasures, and making them into songs.
Pounding basslines and drums intersect with woozy pianos and spiky guitars to carry tales of foreboding and unease up a strangely melodic path.
