Bombay Bicycle Club

Bombay Bicycle Club are an indie rock band which formed in North London, United Kingdom in 2006. The Favourite Day Songfacts reports that they were formed by Jack Steadman (vocals, guitar, bass), Jamie MacColl (bass, guitar, banjo, vocals), Suren De Saram (drums) under the name of The Canals when they were 15. Ed Nash (bass, keyboard, mandolin) later joined the trio as they switched between various aliases before picking Bombay Bicycle Club. The band took their name from a chain of curry houses in the London Area, and have since admitted that they dislike their band name.

Balance and Composure is an indie/emo band from Doylestown, PA. The band formed in the winter of 2007 and has released a 6 song EP entitled 'I Just Want To Be Pure', a 12'/CD EP entitled 'Only Boundaries' and a self-titled split with Scranton, PA's Tigers Jaw. There are multiple artists with this name: 1) (The) World At A Glance are an Australian 4-piece Screamo band based in Melbourne. With influences of Emo, Screamo, Post-Rock, Punk bands such as At The Drive-in, Fugazi, Rites Of Spring, Saetia, Merchant Ships, Make Me and Explosions in the Sky. They began playing together on the first day of December in 2008. after a few months of writing, they recorded a 3 song demo.

Philadelphia Grand Jury has always been two friends: Berkfinger and MC Bad Genius. Previously knowing each other for some 20 years Berkfinger hadn't seen Bad Genius for going on 6 years when one day the curious bearded fellow just strolled into one of his solo shows with a bass and plugged himself right back into the singer's life. These two childhood buddies since had a rotating ensemble of drummers – until recently.

The Silents

The Silents is a four-piece band from Perth, Western Australia. Benjamin Stowe and Jamie Terry began writing and recording music heavily influenced by early sixties psychedelic and beat music in the second half of 2002. In September 2003, Stowe watched friend Sam Ford’s band perform at a local Perth hotel and, after the show, asked if both Ford and drummer Alex Board would be interested in joining he and Terry to form a band.

The Brute Chorus

The Brute Chorus have been combining garage, blues and folk music with a scatology of Biblical stories, nursery rhymes and fairy tales since 2008. Mercury Rev is an American rock music group, that formed in 1989 in Buffalo, New York. Original personnel were David Baker (vocals), Jonathan Donahue (vocals, guitars), Sean "Grasshopper" Mackowiak (guitars, clarinet), Suzanne Thorpe (flute), Dave Fridmann (bass) and Jimy Chambers (drums). With their debut, Yerself Is Steam, the band gained an underground following, particularly in the UK. 1993's Boces was critically acclaimed for its alternative sound, and the band's next album, See You on the Other Side...

The Greenhornes

The Greenhornes are a rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, featuring Craig Fox on lead vocals and guitar, Jack Lawrence on bass, and Patrick Keeler on drums. The band has released several full-length albums and singles. Their most recent release is a compilation of previously released material, Sewed Soles. The complilation was released quickly after East Grand Blues, an EP for V2 Records, which was produced by Detroit musician Brendan Benson. The band's collaboration with Holly Golightly, "There Is an End", was the theme song of Jim Jarmusch's 2005 film, Broken Flowers.

The Hold Steady

The Hold Steady is a Brooklyn-based rock band formed by vocalist/guitarist Craig Finn (ex-Lifter Puller) in 2004. Wanting to capture the sound of bands such as The Replacements and The Grifters, he recruited guitarist Tad Kubler (also ex-Lifter Puller), drummer Judd Counsell, and bassist Galen Polivka. In 2005 the band grew to include Franz Nicolay (of The World/Inferno Friendship Society) on keyboards and Bobby Drake took over on drums following Counsell's departure.
