There are at least 13 bands named Mirage. 1) Mirage released numerous cover version megamixes of current pop hits during the eighties. Many of them were produced by Nigel Wright, sometimes together with Nigel Stock, John Davies & Robin Sellars. Mirage also had three vocalists that posed on the record-covers: Kiki Billy, Nicos Griffiths & Carlos Griffiths. 2) A cult hungarian new/darkwave band from the '80s.

Shiv-r is a new force in the field of dark electronic music. The heavy and unsettling atmosphere generated by the band is at times intended for the clubs, and at times drawn to a slow, grinding pace for full dramatic impact.
The key characteristics of the Shiv-r sound are haunting, neoclassical melodies, harsh percussive club sounds, clean male vocals delivered in shouts and whispers, sparse rhythm guitars and an overwhelming dark atmosphere.

Melbourne, Australia based quartet who play distortion drenched shoegaze taking cues from My Bloody Valentine, The Stone Roses, Sonic Youth and Deerhunter. A story that is sure to be blown out of proportion before Mission Control's career is over, is how they got to know renowned French producer Phillipe Zdar (Cassius): the story goes that Zdar added a song by the band to his Myspace page, unbeknown to the band, before contacting them and lavishing his praises on their sound. Zdar is now rumoured to be producing the bands debut album later this year.
