Blood Duster are a five piece grind/death/stoner rock band from Melbourne, Australia, known for their fast and heavy musical style. The band are currently enjoying some semi-mainstream success after their self-titled Blood Duster album and an appearance at the annual Big Day Out festival. The band's first offering, Yeest, was a straightforward grindcore album. The follow up album, Str8 Outta Northcote was a southern-flavored stoner rock album. Paul Di'Anno began his professional musical career singing with <a href="http://www.last.fm/music/Iron+Maiden" class="bbcode_artist">Iron Maiden</a> in 1978. His style has been described as more punk-influenced than Iron Maiden's following vocalist Bruce Dickinson. Di'Anno left the band after two albums, the reasons for so vary between sources; either leaving by his own will or being sacked due to excessive drug and drinking habits with a conflicting personality . Despite his short tenure in the band, Paul Di'Anno is seen as a major factor in the early development of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement.
Sabaton was formed back in 1999 in Falun, Sweden and worked hard with demos and small club shows just like any other band. An album was recorded in 2002 bearing the name of Fist for Fight on an independent label in Italy, but was never released. By 2004, the band was becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of marketing opportunities available for their album, so eventually they decided that their best strategy would be start over with new material .
