Foster the People

Foster the People is an indie rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California, United States in 2009. According to the Pumped Up Kicks Songfacts, the band started off as a solo project for vocalist, guitarist and keyboardist Mark Foster, who had been working as a jingle composer for commercials. As his songs became more grandiose, Foster enlisted Cubbie Fink (bass, vocals) and Mark Pontius (drums). The band released their debut self-titled EP in January 2011. The band's debut full length album, Torches, was released on May 24, 2011 on Star Time/Columbia.

The Go! Team

The Go! Team are a Brighton, United Kingdom-based six piece band (with two drummers) whose songs are a mixture of action theme songs, cheerleader chants, noise-pop guitars and early hip-hop, with a hint of '70s funk. On record their songs are often pieced together largely from samples, although live the songs are performed mostly with live instruments. Founder Ian Parton, born in wales, was previously involved in a band called dig the slowness.

Chairlift

Chairlift is an electropop band which formed in 2005 in Boulder, Colorado, United States. The band consists of Caroline Polachek (vocals, keyboards), Aaron Pfenning (guitar, synths, vocals) and Patrick Wimberly (bass, drums). Bears

There are at least 4 bands known as Bears: 1. An indie pop band from Cleveland, Ohio. The band consists of Craig Ramsey (drums, vocals, keys, bells, tambourine, guitar, bass) and Charlie McArthur (guitar, vocals, bass, bells). Bears released a self-titled CD/LP in 2006, an EP called Shortest Day of the Year in 2007, a 7" single called Who Knows in 2008, a second album, Simple Machinery, in 2008, a 7" called Snowman in 2009. Boys Boys Boys

Boys Boys Boys! is an indie pop band from Perth, Australia which consists of members Jade Foo, Alwyn Nixon Lloyd, Bridget Turner, Mike Murphy, Jerico Wallace and Daniel Grant. After making waves in the Perth music scene with their infectious sound, the band released their debut album Yes through Interia Records in March 2009. According to the band's website:
"Boys Boys Boys! were born when a group of girls working in a retro diner decided music was the only way to stop crinkle cut fries and burger grease from coming between them.

Girls

There are at least three bands called Girls. 1) In 2006, Christopher Owens and Liza Thorn began a music project called Curls, which dissolved itself when Liza decided to focus more on her new band, BRIDEZ. Not to be dissuaded, Christopher recruited San Francisco's infamous ladykiller Chet "JR" White to join him and changed the band's name to Girls. Chris was formerly a member of Holy Shit with Ariel Pink.

Lydia Cole

Lydia Cole is a 21-year-old songwriter from the North Shore of Auckland. Her lyrics are born purely of experience. Lydia sees herself and her music as advocates for honesty. Her brand new EP 'Love Will Find A Way' was recorded with talented musicians such as Jol Mulholland (The Mots, Gasoline Cowboy), Nick Gaffaney (Anika Moa) and Neil Finn. The next 6 months hold for Lydia a NZ on Air funded radio single and music video, along with shows at festivals in New Zealand and Australia.
