Lykke Li

Li Lykke Timotej Zachrisson (born 18 March 1986 in Stockholm, Sweden), better known by her stage name Lykke Li, was raised by artistic parents (her mother was a photographer, her father is a musician). She lived in Portugal for five years and spent winters in Nepal and India. At one point, she worked as a dancer on Swedish TV. Li had her first success with the EP "Little Bit" in 2007. She later released her debut album, Youth Novels, on LL Recordings in the Nordic region on 30 January 2008, prior to a wider European release in June of the same year.

Pikelet

Pikelet is a band from Melbourne, initially just the name for solo artist Evelyn Morris (Baseball, True Radical Miracle), who begun playing music in indie and hardcore bands as a drummer and vocalist. After leaving these bands, she started overlapping acoustic guitar, piano accordion, voice and alternative percussion techniques with a looping pedal, and created a handmade demo CD, 'Chair + Lamp', unofficially released in mid-2006, followed by another self-released EP, entitled...

The Tealeaves

The Tealeaves sound is inspired by the era of the great singer-songwriters, including Cat Stevens, Simon & Garfunkel and Don McLean. Their music overflows with melody, harmony and lyrical honesty, and has been described as “heart wrenching to say the least”. James, the original leaf, gathered the group together in 2008 to prepare and record their self-titled debut album with eminent producer and engineer, Hadyn Buxton. Traversing a wide range of musical styles, their songs range from harmony filled wall-of-sound band tracks to intimate, melancholy indie-pop.

Thao Nguyen (vocals, guitar) plays with Adam Thompson (bass guitar), and Willis Thompson (drums). Thao was raised in Falls Church, Virginia, and began playing guitar at age 12. Since then, she has crafted a folksy sound with tinges of gritty blues and laconic country. Thao's records are currently released on Kill Rock Stars.

Avalanche City

The story of Avalanche City begins in a house, alone, for hours and hours each day for months, slowly learning how to sing by process of scales, recording, and self critique.
Six months after taking the first steps towards singing, Dave Baxter played his first solo show as Avalanche City. Six months after the first show, one year after beginning the process of teaching himself how to sing, the first tracks were laid for Avalanche City's debut album Our New Life Above The Ground.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is a Brooklyn and Philadelphia based indie-rock band consisting of Alec Ounsworth, Lee Sargent, Robbie Guertin, Tyler Sargent, and Sean Greenhalgh. All the band members attended Connecticut College, in New London, Connecticut, United States Their debut album, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, recorded by Adam Lasus (Genius + Love = Yo La Tengo/The Dirt of Luck), was self-released in 2005, receiving attention from numerous MP3 blogs and a favorable review from Pitchfork Media, who gave the band a "Best New Music" commendation.

Sally Seltmann

Sally Seltmann is an award-winning songwriter and singer based in Melbourne, Australia. She has previously released albums and performed under the name 'New Buffalo', and is well known as the co-writer of the song '1234', performed by Feist. Sally now returns with Harmony to My Heartbeat, the first single from her new album, due for release in early 2010. Previous recordings by Sally as New Buffalo include her debut EP 'About Last Night', which was released in Australia (through Modular) and the UK (through Heavenly).

Breanne Düren

Breanne Düren (born Breanne Elizabeth Durenberger on October 8, 1987) is an American singer from Burnsville, Minnesota. She is best known for being a part of Adam Young's music project Swimming With Dolphins, and for her work with Owl City. She can be heard on the songs "The Saltwater Room", "On The Wing" and "Air Traffic" by Owl City. She is also featured on the songs "Summer" and "Take Me Home Tonight" by Jamestown Story. Breanne Düren released a self-titled full-length album in 2008. Her upcoming EP entitled "Sparks" is coming out on May 3rd and is available for pre-sale on her website.
