Bahamas

1) Bahamas is Afie Jurvanen, and for the last many years he's been playing other people's music-- PasoMino, Great Lake Swimmers, The Stills, Howie Beck, Amy Millan, Jason Collett, Hayden and zeus. He's spent the last few years playing piano and guitar with Feist. He walks with a strange and haunted gait, due to a horrible knee injury suffered while on tour, and it's rumored that this might be what led to the appalling "shorts on stage" incident. No photos of the crime have surfaced and the indie rock police are asking anyone with information to come forward.

BLACKBIRDS

There are at least two bands/artists with this name: 1) BLACKBIRDS is a hardcore/punk band from Michigan (although some members are from Canada). Their earlier material took cues from American Nightmare/Outbreak/97A but their new material is in the vein of His Hero Is Gone/Tragedy/etc. They are not broken up anymore and are back together with a new lineup, new releases soon, and are back touring. The hardcore band Blackbirds is not associated with blackdog records.

Closure In Moscow

Closure In Moscow is a progressive rock band based in Australia. The band formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 2006, comprising of lead vocalist Chris De Cinque, drummer Beau McKee, guitarist and backup vocalist Manny Zennelli, guitarist Michael Barrett, and bassist Bradley Kimber. Only 18 months after first forming, they signed to Taperjean Records and released their debut EP (self-proclaimed 'albumette') on April 19, 2008, titled The Penance and the Patience, off which two music videos were released.

There are at least three artists using this name: 1. A three-piece post-hardcore band from Sydney, Australia, formed in mid-2008, taking inspiration from Fugazi, Gang Of Four, Ohana, To The North and Steve Reich. They are three people living in Sydney who argue amongst themselves about what genre they are (indie punk?), but who also make music that is angular, unadorned, catchy, contemplative and incisive. There are at least three bands that are named Cog. 1) Cog is a rock band from Sydney, New South Wales. Cog consists of members Flynn Gower (lead guitar, lead vocals), Lucius Borich (drums, samples, backing vocals) and Luke Gower (bass guitar and backing vocals), who have been a band since 1998. Flynn Gower and Lucius Borich (the son of renowned Australian blues guitarist Kevin Borich) were friends at their Bondi high school in the 1980s.
