Axemen

The Axemen is a New Zealand band formed around 1981 in protest against the South African Springbok rugby team tour of New Zealand, a tour which created great controversy, especially as was in contradiction to New Zealand’s obligations under the Gleneagles Agreement. The Axemen played in Chch Cathedral 1981 in response to the Springbok tour. They also played at the protests for homosexual law reform in 1983, with member Little Stevie McCabe being severely beaten up in the Cathedral Square, Christchurch, toilets.

Hot Water Music

Hot Water Music is a Gainesville, Florida punk outfit known for Chuck Ragan's raspy vocals, as well as their searing Jawbreaker-esque guitars on earlier albums. The act first formed in 1993, and their first record, Finding the Rhythms, was released on No Idea and Toy Box records. Many fans commonly refer to Hot Water Music as the abbreviation, HWM. The name Hot Water Music comes from a Charles Bukowski book.

The Maccabees

The Maccabees are an indie rock band originally from South London, based in Brighton, UK. The current line-up consists of Orlando Weeks (vocals), Hugo White (guitar), Felix White (guitar, vocals), Rupert Jarvis (bass) and Sam Doyle (drums). Former drummer Robert Dylan Thomas left the band in 2008 in order to enter rehab. It is not certain whether he will rejoin the band in the future or not. Lead singer Orlando Weeks stated once that the band came up with the name by flicking through the Bible and picking out a random word.

Harlequin

There are (at least) three bands with this name: a Canadian classic rock band; a Swedish punk band; and a Medieval/Folk band from Tasmania. Canadian rock band: Harlequin was a Canadian rock band that formed in Winnipeg in 1975 and lasted until the mid-1980s. The original members of Harlequin were vocalist George Belanger, guitarist Glen Willows, keyboard player Gary Golden, drummer David Budzak and bassist Ralph James. Harlequin signed with Epic Records in 1979 and had a string of hit singles in Canada. Their biggest hit single is "Innocence" which topped Canada's charts.

Henry Rollins

Henry Rollins (born February 13, 1961 as Henry Lawrence Garfield) is an American Grammy Award-winning alternative rock singer and songwriter, spoken word artist, book author (prose and poetry), radio and TV personality, occasional movie actor, comedian, and voice-over artist. Article One

Article One is a Christian rock band from London, Ontario. The band originally performed under the name Appertain Display but has since adopted the name Article One in honour of article one of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
