The Maccabees

The Maccabees are an indie rock band originally from South London, based in Brighton, UK. The current line-up consists of Orlando Weeks (vocals), Hugo White (guitar), Felix White (guitar, vocals), Rupert Jarvis (bass) and Sam Doyle (drums). Former drummer Robert Dylan Thomas left the band in 2008 in order to enter rehab. It is not certain whether he will rejoin the band in the future or not. Lead singer Orlando Weeks stated once that the band came up with the name by flicking through the Bible and picking out a random word.

The White Electric

The White Electric formed in 2008 and consists of Lachlan Scott (Electronic Discharge) and Sally Whiteman.
With their powers combined, The White Electric intends to stomp out some genre breaking Acid-Electro-Hip-Hop-Rock tracks.
The White Electric are currently in the studio cranking hard towards to complete their set of all original tunes to begin performing live in early 2009.With the ability to cut tracks faster than an emos forearm, stay tuned for much more music to come!

Rob Robot

Rob Robot is the name that unites four dudes who like to play bulk music. Since forming in 2009, Rob Robot have blasted their way onto the local music scene with their unique sound and style which has been described by some as ‘anthematic indie’. Brothers, Pat on guitar and Jak Pearson on bass, developed their love for music early on in a shed in Central Queensland. They are joined by energetic lead vocalist, Jamie Bell, and dynamic drummer Kane Donoghue to produce catchy melodies, melodic riffs and high energy and unpredictably entertaining performances.

Wheatus

Wheatus is a rock band from Northport, New York formed by Brendan Brown (vocals, guitar) in 1998. After writing a few songs, Brown enlisted his brother Peter Brown (drums) and Rich Ligey (bass) to record a demo. In 1999 the band signed with Columbia Records and released their debut album, Wheatus, the following year. This album contained the band's first, and so far biggest, hit, Teenage Dirtbag (from the movie Loser).

The Flaming Lips

The Flaming Lips are an American psychedelic rock band, formed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States in 1983. Currently the band consists of founding members Wayne Coyne (vocals, guitar, theremin, keyboards) and Michael Ivins (bass, keyboards), longtime member Steven Drozd (keyboards, guitar, drums, synths, vocals) and Kliph Scurlock (drums) Although grounded in an indie rock/alternative approach to rock music, The Flaming Lips are known for their lush, multi-layered arrangements, spacey lyrics and bizarre song titles.

Passion Pit

Passion Pit is an electronic band which formed in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States in 2007. They consist of Michael Angelakos (vocals, keyboards), Ian Hultquist (keyboards, guitar), Ayad Al Adhamy (synth, samples), Jeff Apruzzese (bass, keyboard) and Nate Donmoyer (drums). "Passion Pit" was a vocabulary word used in a class Mike took in school. It's a slang word for a drive-in movie theatre where kids used to go to make out.
