Garage Pressure is made up of Farj and Paul. They are dubstep and grime dj/producers, hosting the Garage Pressure Show on FBI Radio (94.5 FM in Sydney, Australia) and weekly podcast. They run Aquatic Lab, Australia's first dubstep label. Farj and Paul are dedicated to developing and promoting new sounds in the growing dubstep and grime scene. There are three (3) artists by the name Moth. (1) MOTH was formed in a Cincinnati, OH garage in the early 90s by frontman and tune-smith Brad Stenz with guitarist "The Billionaire" joining shortly thereafter. Drummer Kevin Hogle made his appearance with the band shortly after Virgin Records fall-out and bassist Eli White followed in tow. The band has released five full length records including a major label release on Virgin records. They have also done live performances on Craig Kilborne, AOL, and Chicago's Man Cow Show, numerous national tours and a UK tour.
PANOPTIQUE ELECTRICAL is both an experimental studio project by Jason Sweeney and instrumentalist collaboration with electronic and classical musicians Zoë Barry, Jed Palmer and Tristan Louth-Robins. Jason has been composing sound and music scores for live theatre, dance, film/video and installation projects since 1998. He is one half of the duos, Pretty Boy Crossover, School of Two and Luxury Gap. He also performs with the Australian band, Mist & Sea.
The Human League are an English synthpop band formed in 1977. Originally a minimal post-punk synthesiser-based group from Sheffield, UK, they became one of the most successful new wave acts of the 80s. The only consistent band member is vocalist and songwriter Phil Oakey. The band's best known configuration was their 1980-1985 lineup of Phillip Oakey (vocals), Joanne Catherall (vocals), Susanne Sulley (vocals), Phillip Adrian Wright (keyboards), Jo Callis (guitar, keyboards) and Ian Burden (bass).
Melbourne, Australia based quartet who play distortion drenched shoegaze taking cues from My Bloody Valentine, The Stone Roses, Sonic Youth and Deerhunter. A story that is sure to be blown out of proportion before Mission Control's career is over, is how they got to know renowned French producer Phillipe Zdar (Cassius): the story goes that Zdar added a song by the band to his Myspace page, unbeknown to the band, before contacting them and lavishing his praises on their sound. Zdar is now rumoured to be producing the bands debut album later this year.
Tzolk'in is a collaboration project between the belgium musician Sal-Ocin(Empusae)
and the french project Flint Glass(aka Gwenn Tremorin ). They both wanted to do a conceptual creation inspired by Mayan mythology and the ritual calender Tzolk'in. As their passion and knowledge grew, a ritual, mythical soundtrack emmerged. The music has elements of ambient, industrial, melancholic sadness and of course elaborated rhythms to enhance the
athmos-fears!
Carl Craig is a Detroit-based producer of techno music, and is considered to be one of the most important names in the Detroit second generation of techno producers and DJs. Like many of his peers, Carl Craig has approached techno using inspiration from a wide range of musical genres, including jazz and soul. Carl Craig has released many successful albums under a large number of aliases, such as BFC, Psyche, Paperclip People, 69, Designer Music and Innerzone Orchestra.
Theophilus London is a Brooklyn, USA based hip hop artist with heavy electro influences. London released his debut mixtape JAM! in 2008. In 2009 he collaborated with Machine Drum for his second mixtape This Charming Mixtape which brought London to a wider audience. In 2010 London released the mixtape I Want You which features covers of classic songs. London's track Flying Overseas (featuring Devonté Hynes and Solange Knowles) enjoyed popularity with music bloggers in November 2010. Diplo, Diplodocus, Wes Gully, and Wes Diplo are all pseudonyms of Wesley Pentz, a Philadelphia-based producer and DJ since 2003. Together with DJ Low Budget he runs Hollertronix, a party and music collective. In addition to his solo career, he has worked with Sri-Lankan/Tamil singer and artist M.I.A.. The two were also romantically involved. Pentz's alias, short for Diplodocus, derives from his childhood fascination with dinosaurs.
