Mick Thomas & The Sure Thing

MICK THOMAS has been determined to reconfirm his standing as one of Australia's finest singer/songwriters - both solo and with his gun band THE SURE THING. Apart from the occasional one-off reformation show with the iconic WEDDINGS PARTIES ANYTHING, Mick has been busy with his own label, Croxton Records, and making the new MICK THOMAS AND THE SURE THING album. Produced by Mick with Craig Pilkington, PADDOCK BUDDY was recorded in the Northern Victorian Goldfields in May 2006.

Kim Salmon

Kim Salmon is a renowned and influential Australian indie rock musician and songwriter. He is most noted for his work with The Scientists, and later with the Beasts of Bourbon, Kim Salmon and the Surrealists and Kim Salmon And The Business. Salmon's work in the 1980s was influential in the development of grunge music, first recognised around Seattle, USA, before impacting on popular music in the early 1990s through bands such as Nirvana and Soundgarden. The Scientists relied on unorthodox bass-heavy rhythms and distorted guitars, the latter being a direct precursor for grunge.

Injured Ninja

The INJURED NINJA is in itself, an anomaly. The well-honed skills of any Ninja are calculated and precise, silent and deadly, these fit fighting warriors would never be disgraced by falling in the heat of battle. A Ninja knows victory or death – there is no compromise. So one must ask, what cataclysm has befallen this one? INJURED NINJA is an epic sonic force that confronts its audience with experimental Noise Rock and sythethsized electronic wizardry creating a new aural atmosphere.

Tom Fun Orchestra

Born somewhere in the north Atlantic on a large fishing vessel, Tom's mother was an Austrian gypsy who had disguised herself as a male deck-hand in order to board the ship and create a new life on the other side. Her identity was revealed when she went into labour and shortly after Tom's birth was forced to walk the plank. Tom was taken ashore by an aging sailor named Whisky Gibbons who deposited him at a brothel on the edge of a small town somewhere outside of anywhere.
