Real Thing

The Real Thing, a Liverpool based vocal group, had its origins in the Merseybeat boom of the 1960s. Lead Singer Eddie Amoo was a former band member of The Chants, whose beat singles gathered considerable critical acclaim, although they failed to chart. After continuing to record for various record labels, the band name was eventually dropped. Original members of the group who appeared on opportunity knocks were, Chris Amoo, Kenny Davis (deceased) Dave Smith, Eddie Ankrah, and Ray Lake(deceased) Re-labelled as The Real Thing...

Flight Facilities is Lance Bass (US) & Richard Blackwood (UK) they met at a Holy Ghost! DJ set in New York, and immediately hit it off, sharing loves in music, literature and movies. Plans to work together were formed but they never took off until the following year when they would meet again at the secret Bang Gang Runway party. Fort Knox Five is a DJ collective out of Washington DC. Their style ranges from eclectic downbeat & hip hop, to upbeat funk and breaks. They have DJed in Russia, Germany, Greece, Spain, Hungary, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, and Canada. FK5 fuse live instrumentation with modern electronics to create a funk-driven sound. They've remixed Tito Puente, Louis Armstrong, Tower of Power, A Skillz and Krafty Kuts, Dynamo Productions, and Mo'Horizons. They produced four tracks on Afrika Bambaataa's album "Dark Matter" on Tommy Boy Records.

Max Waves

Check out the new album "Music for Microworlds"! Born in Treviso in March 1969, at the age of six Max Waves started studying the piano through private lessons, before entering the conservatory "B. Marcello" in Venezia in 1980.
A lifelong passion for computers and technology in general soon led him to prefer the study of the synthesizer rather than classical exercises to the point where he inevitably abandoned his academic studies and dedicated himself totally to electronic music.

Electric Wire Hustle

Developing their own sound and twist on modern hip-hop, psychedelic and soul, the music of EWH reaches forward while referencing key points of music's past. Thick drums and percussion layered with synth lines, hints of the Fender Rhodes and nylon stringed guitars have your neck snapping while your ears crane to its soulful vocals. While the EWH moniker is a relatively fresh name (formed in 2006) on the scene, this production trio is no stranger to the music game. Members Myele Manzanza, Taay Ninh, Mara TK are all familiar faces in the music scene in Wellington, New Zealand.

The Sun Blindness

Perhaps the most psychedelically obsessed band since the 13th Floor Elevators, The Sun Blindness are a duo based in Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2004, they play lush, dreamy, melodic , harmony driven psychedelia informed by bands such as Spacemen 3 and The Beach Boys. 2008 saw the release of their debut album 'Like Pearly Clouds' in Australia on September 13th, 2008 by indie label Sensory Projects/Inertia. After some financial delay, their second album, "Far Arden" will be released by Sensory Projects/Inertia in February 2010.

Electro-dance-slide_didg-slide guitar-flute-drums. I just heard these guys live at the Newtown Festival, Sydney, for the first time ever this weekend. They came down from the sunshine coast - north of Brisbane, where the tropical heat has obviously had a good influence on them. Sometimes dreamy and slow, sometimes upfront crowdpleasing pumpers - these guys rock! With four studio albums, OKA shows a wide variety in their music. Absolutely mind blowing. OKA is also a pop group from Finland.
